Solution:

Directions (Q. 1-5):

(i)      30% of Urdu = 30% of 300 = 90.  No.of people who speak Hindi and English both but not Urdu = 100
(iii)       No. of people who speak English and Urdu but not Hindi = 30. Therefore, no.of people who speak only English = 400 – (100 + 90 + 30) = 180 …(A)
(ii)       Now, with the help of (A),
No.of people who speak Hindi and Urdu both but not English = 120 …(B)
Therefore, no.of people who speaks only Urdu = 300 – (120 + 90 + 30) = 60 …(C)
Similarly, no. of people who speak only Hindi  = 500- (100 + 90 + 120) = 190 … (D)

1). From (D)

2). From (A)

3). From (B)

4). No.of people who speak only Urdu = 300 – (120 + 90 + 30) = 60
Reqd less% = [(100 – 60) / 100] × 100 = 40%

5). Reqd more% = [(180 – 120) / 120] × 100 = 50%
Total number of people = 150
Number of students who don’t like any drink = 30
