Solutions:

3). e) Let the present age of Pulkit and Manya be 8x and 5x years respectively.
(8x + 6) + (5x + 6) = 64 => 13x + 12 = 64 => x = 4
Required answer = 32 – 20 = 12 years
4). c) Let the speed of the current be x km/hr
Then, speed of boat be 6x km/hr
Therefore, Downstream speed = x + 6x = 7x
Upstream speed = 6x – x = 5x
So, 7x × 2.1 = 58.8 => x = 4
Required Distance =  (372/60)× 20 = 124km
