Solutions:

1). Total number of people who preferred Engineering = 350+300+300+275+300+275 = 1800

2). No. of people who preferred Engineering in 2014 = 275 and the number of people who preferred Engineering in 2009 = 350
:. Difference = 350-275 = 75 million

3). Required percentage
= [(375) / (375+300+175)] × 100
= (375 / 850) × 100
= 44.12; approximately 45%

4). Required ratio= 375 : 275 =15 : 11

5). Number of people who shifted from Engineering to Architecture
= 300 × (50/100)=150
:. Total number of people who now preferred Architecture as their profession in 2013 = 175+150= 325

= (156+179+211+259+230) / 5
=1035 / 5
=207 thousand

7). Required percentage
= [(231-180) / 180] ×100 = 28.33%

8). Sale of cars from showroom E in September= 250× (108 / 100) × (120 / 100) = 324 thousand

9). Total number of cars sold by all the showrooms in June=205+198+259+165+181= 1008
Total number of cars sold from all the showrooms in August= 1008 × (7/9) = 784\ Answer: c)
