Explanation:

Directions (Q. 1-5): The correct approach to solve these questions is to make a diagram of the seating arrangement. Draw a table and place the different individuals on it, according to the logic provided. The correct seating arrangement can be depicted as shown below:

1). As we can see from the above diagram and the information given to us, Jackie
is the host and also sitting on Shobha's right.

2). Refer to the above diagram and the information given to us. We can see Shobha is siting next to Jakie and Dhirubhai. Therefore, according to the information given, she is the only person who is not seated next to a person of the same sex.

3). In the given question, we are provided with extra information. Let us build another figure, according to the information provided:

According to the above, statement I is correct as no man is sitting between the two women. Also, no woman is sitting between the two men. We can see that statements 2 and 3 are false.

4). From the figure given above, we can say that only Ratan & Monisha are sitting opposite to each other. Since we are provided with the additional information (if each person is placed directly opposite her spouse), we can see they are the married couple.

Directions (Q. 5-9): The days on which lectures were held are
Sun-D; Mon- No lecture; Tue-B; Wed-E; Thu-F; Fri-C; Sat-A.
