Solution:
1). Total cattle in India = 1200000
Cows in India = 1200000 × 26 / 100 = 312000
Cows in China = 312000 × 5 / 3 = 520000
Total cattle in China = 520000 × 100 / 30 = 1733333.3
= 1733333 = 17.3 lakh

2). The difference between the number of Elephants and that of Horse in China
= 1000000 (16 – 8) × 1 / 100 = 80000

3). The total number of other animals in India after 2 years
= 150000 × 10 / 100 = 15000 for first year = 150000 + 15000 = 165000
= 165000 × 10 / 100 = 16500 for second year = 165000 + 16500 = 181500
= 181500

4). The total number of zebras two years ago in China
= 250000 × 100 / 105 = 238095 one year ago
= 238095 × 100 / 105 = 226757 two years ago
= 226757

5). The total number of horse in China = 50000
The total number of horse in India = 50000 × 3 / 2 = 75000
The total number of cattle in India = 75000 × 100 / 12 = 625000

6). Required % = 20 / 60 × 100 = 33.33 % of electrification of villages in Rajasthan in the year 2016

7). Number of villages in Sikkim where electrification was done in 2015 = 40
Number of villages in Haryana where electrification was done in 2015 = 45
Required ratio = 40 : 45 = 8 : 9

8). The number of villages where electrification was done
In Sikkim = 25 + 25 + 40 = 90
In Haryana = 40 + 45 + 60 = 145
In Rajasthan = 60 + 45 + 40 = 145
In Bihar = 40 + 20 + 45 = 105
Maximum electrification was done in both Rajasthan and Haryana

9). Total number of villages in four states where electrification was done
= 90 + 105 + 145 + 145 = 510
Cost of electrification = 7500000 × 485 = `3637500000

10). Number of villages where electrification was done in 2014 = 50 + 30 + 60 + 40 = 180
Number of villages where electrification was done in 2015 = 20 + 40 + 50 + 50 = 160
Number of villages where electrification was done in 2016 = 40 + 30 + 40 + 60 = 170
In 2014 maximum electrification work was done.
