Answers:
1).b  2).c  3).e  4).a  5).e  6).c  7).c  8).e  9).a  10).b

Solution:

1). Total income of Vistara in 2005 = `5 crore
Fare of Vistara = `5000 per passenger
Total number of passengers = 5 crore / 5000 = 10000
Total income of Truejet in 2002 = `25 crore
Fare of Truejet= `4000 per passenger
Total number of passengers = 25 crore / 4000 = 62500
Required ratio = 10000:  62500 = 4: 25
Answer: b)

2). Total  income  of  Vistara  from 2004 to  2006  =  25  +  5  +  30  =  `60 crore
Total income of Spice Jet from 2004 to 2006 = 5 + 25 + 20 = `50 crore
Required % = 60 / 50 × 100 = 120% income of Spice Jets
Answer: c)

3). Fare per passenger of Spice Jet= 7000 × 110 / 100 = `7700
And fare of Vistara per passenger = 7000 × 75 / 100 = `5250
Now total number of   passengers in Spice Jet in 2006 = Total Income / Fare of per passenger
= 20 crore / 7700 = 25974 = 25975
Answer: e)

4). Total income of aviation companies in the year 2001 = 10 + 15 + 20 + 25 = `70 crore
In 2002 = 5 + 15 + 25 +   35 = `80 crore
In 2003 = 10 + 15 + 25 + 30 = `80 crore
In 2004 = 5 + 10 + 25 + 35 = `75 crore
In 2005 = 5 + 15 + 20 + 25 = `65 crore
In 2006 = 20 + 25 + 30 + 35 = `110 crore
In 2006 the income of all aviation companies is the maximum.

= 36% of 16500 – 18% of 16500
= 18% of 16500 = 18 × 16500 / 100 = 2970
Answer: c)

7). The number of qualified candidates (AP + Assam)
= 24% of 16500 = 3960
No. of candidates appeared (Manipur and Odisha)
= 33% of 2 lakh = 66000
Required % = 3960 / 66000 × 100 = 6%
Answer: c)

8). The number of candidates appeared from AP = 18% of 2 lakh = 36000
The number of candidates qualified from Nagaland, Manipur, Odisha and Jharkhand = 54% of 16500 = 8910
Ratio = 36000 / 8910
= 400 / 99
= 400: 99
