Solution:
1). b) Number of students appeared in exam from college B in 2007 = (360×80)/100 = 288
Number of passed students = (288×75)/100 = 216

2). d) Number of students appeared in exam from all colleges = 40% of (480+350+380+500+540)
= (40×2250)/100 = 900

3). c) Required ratio = (460+350+430+470+480) : (470+340+390+530+530)
= 2200 : 2260 = 110 : 113

4).e)  Average number of students from college B over the years =(320+350+300+360+340)/5 = (1670/5) = 334
Average number of students from college C over the years =(400+380+410+430+390)/5 = (2010/5) = 402
required percentage = 334/402 × 100 = 83.018% = 83%

5). a) number of students in all colleges in 2006 = 420+300+410+520+460 = 210
Number of students who went abroad =  (2110×8)/100 = 168.8 = 170

6). c) Step II: 97 82 sun 50 moon night 36 72 evening
Step III: 97 82 sun night moon 50 36 72 evening
Step IV: 97 82 sun night 72 50 36 moon evening
Step V: 97 82 sun night 72 moon 36 50 evening
Step VI: 97 82 sun night 72 moon evening 50 36
Four more steps are required.

7). a) Input: 86 92 fighter next 88 tire army 29 75
Step I: 92 86 fighter next 88 tire army 29 75
Step II: 92 88 fighter next 86 tire army 29 75
Step III: 92 88 tire next 86 fighter army 29 75
This step is step no. 3.

8). d) “52 42 tag mug 36 hug 40 bag 21” is step 3 and finding step 1 is not possible. Can’t be determined.

9). c) Input: 94 hair fair 61 dare 69 share 57 32
Step I: 94 69 fair 61 dare hair share 57 32
Step II: 94 69 share 61 dare hair fair 57 32
Step III: 94 69 share hair dare 61 fair 57 32
Step IV: 94 69 share hair 61 dare fair 57 32

10). b) 99 83 hate gate 64 rate 23 date 57
After just 4 step (more) we will reach on final output.
99 83 rate hate 64 gate date 57 23.
