Solutions:
1). Number of shares sold in Chennai by Company A = 4200 × 62 / 100 = 2604
Similarly, by company B = 68 × 4200 / 100 = 2856
By Company D = 36 × 4200 / 100 = 1512
By Company E = 4200 × 54 / 100 = 2268
Required Ratio = 2604 + 2856 / 1512 + 2268 = 5460 / 3780
13 / 9 = 13: 9.
2). Required Difference = 8600 × (40+25+45) / 100   -   4000 × (28+53+55) / 100
= 86 × 110 - 40 × 136 = 9460 – 5440 = 4020.
3). Required % less = 50 × 49 – 48 × 30 / 50 × 49   × 100
= 2450 – 1440 / 2450 × 100 = 1010 / 2450 × 100 = 41.22%
4). Required average = 1/6 × 4800 (60 + 30 + 40 + 45 + 50 + 57 / 100)
= 800 × 282 / 100 = 2256
5). Required average % = 27 + 32 + 58 + 45 + 57 / 5 = 219 / 5 = 43.8
6). Required marks obtained by 20 boys in History = 45 × 20 = 900
7). Average % of marks obtained by girls is as follows in all schools and subjects

In science the average% of marks obtained from all the schools is maximum.

In school S pooled average marks is minimum.
9). Total marks obtained by girls in Maths in school P = 110 × 20 = 2200
In school Q = 85 × 20 = 1700
In school R = 130 × 20 = 2600

Total marks obtained by boys in History in school P = 40 × 20 = 800
In school Q = 45 × 20 = 900
In school R = 50 × 20 = 1000
In school S = 40 × 20 = 800
In school T = 65 × 20 = 1300
In school S the marks obtained by girls is twice the marks obtained by boys in History.
10). Required difference = 135 × 20 – 80 × 20 = 2700 -1600 = 1100.
