Solution:
1). Total female population of Kochi
= 366000 × 7/15 = 1.708 lakh
Answer: c)

2). Total male population of Jaipur
= 4.428 × 5/12 = 1.845 lakh
 Total male population of Bangalore
= 4.655 × 17/35 = 2.261 lakh = 2.261 lakh
 Answer: b)

3). Difference = 4.104 × (5-3)/8
= 4.104 × 2/8 = 1.026 lakh
Answer: b)

4). Adult population of
Chennai = 2.565 lakh
Mumbai = 2.877 lakh
 Jaipur = 2.583 lakh
Bangalore = 2.66 lakh
Agra = 2.775 lakh

 Hence, Mumbai has the maximum number of adults.
Answer: d)

5). The ratio of males to females in Mumbai,
ie M : F = 5 :   4
4 / 5 × 100 = 80%
Answer: c)

6). Let Kalam age = x
Then
Kalam brother's age = x + 3
Kalam mother's age = x + 26
Kalam sister's age = (x + 3) + 4 = x + 7
Kalam Father's age = (x + 7) + 28 = x + 35
=> age Kalam father when Kalam brother was born = x + 35 – (x + 3) = 32
Answer: d)

7). Work done by X in 1 hour = 1/8
Work done by Y in 1 hour = 1/10
Work done by Z in 1 hour = 1/12
Work done by X,Y and Z in 1 hour = 1/8 + 1/10 + 1/12 = 37/120
Work done by Y and Z in 1 hour = 1/10 + 1/12 = 22/120 = 11/60
From 9 am to 11 am, all the machines were operating.
Ie, they all operated for 2 hours and work completed = 2 × (37/120) = 37/60
Pending work = 1- 37/60 = 23/60
Hours taken by Y an Z to complete the pending work = (23/60) / (11/60) = 23/11
This is approximately equal to 2
Hence the work will be completed approximately 2 hours after 11 am ; ie around 1 pm
Answer: c)

8). Total number of balls = 4 + 8 + 12 = 24
n(s) = 24C3 = 2024
Number of ways to select one ball of each colour
= n (E) = 4C1 × 8C1 × 12C1 = 4 × 8 × 12 = 384
 P (E) = 384 / 2024
= 48 / 253
Answer: d)

9). Volume of cuboid = volume of two cubes together
36 × 18 × 3 = a3 + 8a3
a3 = 216
a = 6 cm
Surface area of the smaller cube = 6 × 62 = 216 cm2
Answer: e)

10). 8 bag + 5 box = 25 × 13 = 325
4 bag + 7 box = 21 × 11 = 231
12 bag + 12 box = 556
Total cost of 18 bags and 18 boxes
= 556 × 3 / 2 = `834
