List of MoU’s /Agreements Signed in September 2nd Week 2016 – GK Updates for IBPS PO/Clerk 2016:
Dear Readers, Here we have given the list of MoU’s and Agreements signed in September 2nd Week 2016, which was most important GK updates for upcoming IBPS PO/Clerk 2016 examination. Candidates those who are preparing for the exams can use this.


1). Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) has signed a preliminary Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore government for developing a smart integrated township in Jathiadevi near Shimla airport.

2). Union Cabinet has approved the signing and ratification of the Extradition Treaty between India and Afghanistan.The treaty would provide a legal framework for seeking extradition of terrorists, economic offenders and other criminals from and to the Afghanistan.

3). The Union Cabinet under the Chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval for signing of the Technical Arrangement between India and Switzerland on the identification and return of Swiss and Indian Nationals and its implementation.

4). The Union Cabinet approved the extension of a contract between Ministry of Earth Sciences and the ISA. The present contract for exploration of poly-metallic nodules has been further extended for a period of five years (2017-22).

5). The Union Cabinet under the Chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its expost-facto approval for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Kenya on cooperation in the field of National Housing Policy Development and Management (NHPDM).

6). India and South Africa have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for promoting bilateral cooperation in the field of Information and Communication Technologies. The MoU will help to establish inter-institutional cooperation and relations between the two parties in order to promote cooperation in the field of ICT.

7). The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and state industries minister Vipul Goel by Chairman, Gionee Mobiles, Liu Lirong and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC).

8). The United States will provide Israel’s military with $38 billion during the next 10 years. Under the terms, Israel will receive 3.8 billion dollars a year from the US, up from the 3.1 billion dollars Washington currently gives Israel annually under a 10-year deal that ends in 2018. Under the agreement, Israel’s ability to spend part of the funds on Israeli military products

9). India and Afghanistan signed 3 MoUs after talks between Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

b) Treaty on extradition
c) Peaceful uses of outer space

10).  India and Sri Lanka has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support livelihood of the fishing and farming communities in Hambantota district of Sri Lanka. The project envisages gift of equipment and tools such as grub hoes, bicycles, life jackets and sewing machines, worth 300 million SLR, to the fishing and farming communities in Hambantota district.

11). Transportation app Uber has launched a new initiative in partnership with Maruti Suzuki and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for creating livelihood opportunities for one million people by 2018.

12. India and Nepal signed a memorandum of agreement (MoU) for project management consultancy services for upgrading and improving the road infrastructure in Nepal's Terai area. Another agreement was signed on the first amendatory dollar credit line for post-earthquake reconstruction projects in Nepal.
