(1 – 7):
Following are the definite points:
• E.D. is second to the left of M who is second to the left of Auditor.
• Manager - Finance is second to the left of E.D.
• Chairman is between M.D. and President.
• T is third to the right of President.
• T is neither E.D. nor Auditor.
So, the basic data can be understood as follows:

The complete solution is given below:

1). b)
2). d)
3). c)
4). a)
5). b)
6). c)
7). c)

8). b)
25 persons total salary = 25 × 1200 = 30000
After increment total salary = 25 × 113/100 × 1200 = 33900
After increment of 15 persons salary = 15 × 115/100 × 1200 = 20700
Now 10 persons new salary = 33900 – 20700 = 13200
10 persons old salary = 10 × 1200 =12000
Increment percent = 1200/12000 × 100 = 10%

9). c)
According to the given information,
1800 + [(1800 × 8/12 × R)/100] = 1944 => R = 12%

10). d)
Let length = l, breadth = b.
Then l : b = 2 : 3
Let l =2x, b = 3x
After increment l : b = 8 : 11
Now let l = 8y, b =11y
3x × 110/100 = 11y => y = 3x/10 => 8y = 24x/10
Increment in length = {[(24x/10) – 2x]/2x × 2x} × 100 = 20%

11). b)
After 5years ages of father and son be 3x and x
Then 3x + x =36
x = 9, 3x = 27
At present father : son = (27 – 5) : (9 − 5) = 11 : 2

12). b)
Total distance travelled = 240 km

Representation = 240/200 × 1 = 1.2
