Solutions:
(1 – 5):
Dancer = 6/13 x 260 = 120; Singer = 7/13 x 260 = 140
 Dancer Singer Group A 60 56 Group B 36 42 Group C 24 42 Group A and B (A ∩ B) 8 11 Group B and C (B ∩ C) 7 8 Group C and A (C ∩ A) 5 7 Group A,B & C (A ∩ B  ∩C) 3 4
1). d)
Required percentage = (8 + 11 + 7 + 8 + 5 + 7)/260 x 100 = 46/260 x 100 = 17.69%
2). a)
Required Ratio = (60+36) : (56+42) = 96:98 = 48:49
3). b)
Required Percentage = 60/42 x 100 = 142.86%
Therefore 42.86% more
4). b)
60 – 8 – 3 – 5 = 44
42 – 7 – 4 – 8 = 23
5). c)
Required percentage = 7/15 x 100 = 46.67%
