Solution:
1).  The series is + (1^2 - 2), – (2^2 + 3), + (3^2 - 4), –(4^2 + 5), .....
2).  The series is × 0.5 – 0.5, × 1 + 1, ×1.5 – 1.5, ×2 + 2, ...
3).  The series is +1^2 , -3^2 , +5^2 , - 7^2 , ....
