Haryana government announced a hike in the monthly stipend of widows and destitute women
The Haryana government on Wednesday announced a 500 rupee increase in the monthly stipend of widows and destitute women and girls imparting training in tailoring. To purchase raw materials each trainee will get 300 rupee per month instead of 150 rupee during the training period.

The Cabinet approved an IPO by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA)
The Cabinet on Wednesday approved an IPO by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency. It approved the issue of 13.9 crore equity shares of rupee 10 each.IREDA is registered as a non-banking financial company. It has worked closely with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy to help implement policies.

Shri C K Mishra, Secretary(Health and Family Welfare) inaugurated the‘Vatsalya – Maatri Amrit Kosh’, a National Human Milk Bank and Lactation Counselling Centre at the Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) in New Delhi.The Vatsalya – Maatri Amrit Kosh will be the largest milk bank and lactation counseling center available in the North India. It is established in collaboration with the Norwegian government, Oslo University and Norway-India Partnership Initiative (NIPI). It is a national human milk bank and lactation counseling center that will collect, pasteurize, test and safely store milk that has been donated by lactating mothers and makes it available for infants in need.

India will remain among top 3 investment destinations till ’2019’
India will remain among the top three investment destinations globally till 2019, according to a survey by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). UNCTAD’s World Investment Report 2017 also said India ranked 10th in terms of FDI inflows in 2016, with $44 billion coming in, as in 2015. Over the next two years, India will be behind only the U.S. and China in terms of investment attractiveness.

iVoomi plans 250 crore rupees phone factory in India
Chinese smartphone maker iVoomi plans to make phones in India with an initial investment of 250 crore rupees and export handsets to countries like China, Taiwan and Korea. The company expects to have its manufacturing facility in the country by the first quarter of 2018.
