Detailed Solutions:
1). a)A’s investment for 12 months = Rs 4000 x 12= Rs 48000
B’s investment (Rs 6000 for 4 months and Rs 8000 for 8months) = (Rs 6000 x 4 + Rs 8000 x 8) = Rs 88000
C’s investment (Rs 8000 for 9 months and Rs 6000 for 3months) = (Rs 8000 x 9 + Rs 6000 x 3) = Rs 90,000.
Ratio of their incomes = A: B : C= 48000:88000:90000= 48:88:90 = 24:44:45
Profit of A = (24/113) x 16950 = 3600
2). b)Original daily wage = Increased daily wage/(100 + %increase) x 100
= 24/120 x 100 = Rs.20
3). b)The required average = (60 x 12 + 40 x 13 + 50 x 14 + 50 x 15)/(60 + 40 + 50 + 50) = 13.45
4). c)Selling Price = More Rupees (100 + % final gain)/(%gain + %loss) = 100 x 112.5/(7.5 + 2.5) = 1125.
Radha – (Ruchi + 5) = 5 =>Radha = Ruchi + 10
9/4 Ruchi = Ruchi + 10 => 5 Ruchi = 40 =>Ruchi = 8 then Radha age = 18
Therefore, sum of their ages = 26 years
