    B’s 1 day work = 1/20
    C’s 1 day work = 1/25
    A, B and C worked together.
    Therefore, A, B and C one day work = 1/15 + 1/20 + 1/25 = 47/300
    Days taken to complete the work together = 300/47
    Therefore C’s share = 300/47 x 1/25 x 4700 = 1200

    Distance = Speed x time = 15 x 20/60 = 5kmph

    SP of 1kg Apple = 50/5 = Rs.10
    Profit in 1kg of Apple = rs.3
    To earn Rs. 102 as profit he must sell 102/3 = 34kg

    4). b)Work done by the inlet in 1 hour = 1/8 – 1/12 = 1/24
    Work done by the inlet in 1 minute = 1/24 x 1/60 = 1/1440
    Volume of 1/1440 part = 6 litres
    Therefore, volume of the whole = 1440 x 6 = 8640liters

    5). a)Let the ages of father and son be x and (45 – x)
    Then (x – 5) x (45 – x – 5) = 34 => x2 – 45x + 234 = 0 => (x – 39)(x – 6) = 0
    Therefore x = 39 or x = 6.
    Fathers age = 39 and son’s age = 6
