Solutions:

Question (1-5):

 Census 2000 2010 Adult population 25450 30650 Females 25450ร—(52/100)=13234 30650ร—(48/100)=14712 Illiterate 25450ร—(60/100)=15270 8000 Females below age 45 years 13234ร—(82/100)=10851.88 72ร—(14712/100)=10592.64 Females above age 45 years 13234ร—(18/100)=238.12 14712ร—(28/100)=4119.36
1.Reqd ratio = (15270/1059264) = (1527000/1059264)
= (763500/529632) = (381750/264816) = 190875 : 132408

2.Quantum of annual allowance in 2000 = 2382.12 ร— 25000 = Rs.59553000
Quantum of annual allowance in 2010
= 4119.36 ร— 30000 = Rs.123580800
Reqd % increase = [(123580800-5955300)/5955300]
= 107.51% (approx)

3.Number of male population in 2000 = 25450 โ€“ 13234 = 12216
Number of population in 2010 = 30650 โ€“ 8000 = 22000
Reqd % = [(22000-12216)/12216] ร— 100
= [(9784ร—100)/12216] = 80%

4.Reqd difference = 14712 โ€“ 13234 = 1478

5.Reqd % = (15270/14712)ร—100 = 103.79 = 104%

6.Total number of bikes = 43470 + 84560 + 56760 + 78650 + 69000 + 94880 = 427320
:. Average = (427320/6) = 71220
= 71.22 thousand

7.Total number of bikes sold by company D = 78.65ร—(9/11) = 64.35 thousand = 64350

8.Total number of unsold bikes of company A = 43470ร—(2/9) = 9660
Total number of unsold bikes of company E = 69000ร—(2/5) = 27600
:. Reqd % = (9660/27600)ร—100 = 35%

9.Difference = 94880 ร— [(5-3)/8] = 94880 ร— (2/8) = 23720

10.Total number of bikes produced by all companies together = 427320
Total number of bikes sold by all companies together
= 43470 ร—(7/9) + 84560 ร— (5/7) + 56760 ร— (5/6) + 78650 ร— (9/11) + 69000 ร— (3/5) + 94880 ร— (5/8)
= 33810 + 606400 + 47300 + 64350 + 41400 + 59300 = 306560
Reqd % = (306560/427320) ร— 100 = 71.74% = 72%
