1). c) 2). b) 3). e) 4). d) 5). a) 6). d) 7). b) 8). c) 9). a) 10). e)

Solution:

1).Totalsold = 45.5 × (4 / 7) + 48.6 × (5 / 9) +
40 × (2 / 5) + 55 × ( 3 / 5) + 64.4 × (3 / 7) + 68 × (5 / 8)
= 26 + 27 + 16 + 33 + 27.6 + 42.5
= 172.1 thousand
Answer:  c)

2).Answer: b)

3).Sold2009 = 34 thousand
UnSold2006 = 20 thousand
Reqd% = (34 / 20) × 100 = 170%
Answer: e)

4).Unsold C2008  = 51 × (8 / 17) = 24 thousand
Sold B2010  = 85 × (8 / 17) = 40 thousand
% less = [(40 – 24) / 40] × 100 = 1600 / 40 = 40%
Answer: d)

5).Sold = 30 + 24.8 + 28.2 + 34 + 24.2 + 37.26 = 178.46 thousand
Unsold = 20 + 27.9 + 28.2 + 17 + 36.3 + 24.84 = 154.24 thousand
Difference = 178.46 – 154.25 = 24.22 thousand
Answer: a)

6).Total items = { [ (24 + 18) – 28 ] / 100 } × 16 = 2.24 lakh
Answer: d)

7).TotalF = 16 × (8 / 100) = 1.28 lakh
I1 = (1.28 / 5) × 3 = 0.768
I2 = (1.28 / 5) × 2 = 0.512
Diff = 0.768 – 0.512 = 0.256 lakh = 25600
Answer: b)

8).I1Sold by A = 16 × (24 / 100) × (5 / 8) × (65 / 100) = 1.56 lakh
Similarly,
Total I1 = 1.56 + 0.896 + 0.6912 + 1.44 + 0.4096 + 0.384 = 5.3808 lakh
Average = (5.3808 / 6) = 0.8968 lakh = 89680
Answer: c)

9).I1 =  16 × (7 / 100) × (4 / 7) × (64 / 100) = 0.4096,
Similarly I2 = 0.2640
Difference = 0.4096 – 0.2640 = 0.1456 lakh = 14560
Answer: a)

10).I1 sold by A = 156000,
I1 sold by F = 38400
Required % = (156000 / 38400) × 100 = 406.25%
Answer: e)
