Answers:

1). Answer d

(51/400)*2400 + (47/200)*800 + 2025 = (1125/25) + 4x

306 + 188 + 2025 – 45 = 4x

2474 = 4x

X = 2474/4 = 618.5

2). Answer a

(12/75)* (48/1136)*(32/96) * 10650 = (x/100)*500

24 = 5x

X = 24/5 = 4.8

3). Answer d

15 1/3 – 4 1/6 + 8 5/12 – 7 2/3 – 2 7/12 = x

(15 – 4 + 8 – 7 – 2) (1/3 – 1/6 + 5/12 – 2/3 – 7/12) = x

10 [(4 – 2 + 5 – 8 – 7)/12] = x

X = 10 (-8/12) = 10 (-2/3)

X = (30 – 2)/3 = 28/3 = 9 1/3

4). Answer b

(6390 ÷ 15) + (7182 ÷ 19) + (10224 ÷ 8) = x – (24/100)*750

426 + 378 + 1278 = x – 180

426 + 378 + 1278 + 180 = x

X = 2262

5). Answer a

54 + 94 – (45/100)*800 = x + (1188/9) – 1296

54 + 94 – 360 + 1296 = x + 132

54 + 94 – 360 + 1296 – 132 = x

X = 952

Direction (6-10)

6). Answer e

The pattern is, +32, +43, +52, +63, +72,..

The answer is, 875

7). Answer c

The pattern is, *1/2, *3/2, *5/2, *7/2,..

The answer is, 5080

8). Answer b

The pattern is, *3 + 4, *4 + 5, *5 + 6, *6 + 7,..

The answer is, 8751

9). Answer a

The pattern is, *1/2, *2/3, *3/4, *4/5,..

The answer is, 633.6

10). Answer d

The pattern is, – 4 ÷ 2

The answer is, 22.5

11). Answer c

D = S*T

Length of train A= 54*(5/18)*12= 180 m

Time required crossing each other

T = (180+180)/((90 – 54)*5/18)

= > 360/(36*(5/18))

= > 36 seconds

12). Answer b

Total mixture of milk and water = 90 litres

5’s = 90

1’s = 18

Total milk = 54 litres, water = 36 litres

According to the question,

54/(36 + x) = (45/55)

54/(36 + x) = 9/11

66 = 36 + x

X = 30

30 litres of water should be added to the mixture.

13). Answer d

The ratio of present age of P to Q = 3: 5

The ratio of present age of P to R = 3: 7

The ratio of present age of P, Q and R = 3: 5: 7

According to the question,

3x + 5x + 7x + 15 = 75

15x = 60

X = 4

The present age of P = 3x = 12 years

14). Answer a

Let the sum be x and the rate be r%

So,

[x* 6*(r+3)]/100 – (x*6*r)/100= 4500

(6xr + 18x)/100 – 6xr/100 = 4500

18x/100 = 4500

x = 4500*(100/18)

x = 25000

Sum(x) = Rs. 25000

15). Answer c

According to the question,

(45000*12)/(30000*x) = (2/1)

(18/x) = (2/1)

X = 9 months

B joins = 12-9 = 3 months

Direction (16-20)

16). Answer b

The total marks scored by the student Q in all the given subjects together

= > (81/100)*150 + (85/100)*125 + (87/100)*175 + (93/100)*100 + (91/100)*200

= > 121.5 + 106.25 + 152.25 + 93 + 182

= > 655

17). Answer d

Total marks scored by all the given students in commerce

= > (78 + 81 + 71 + 79 + 74 + 83)*(150/100)

= > (466/100)*150 = 699

Total marks scored by all the given students in Accountancy

= > (76 + 87 + 85 + 75 + 80 + 88)*(175/100)

= > 491*(175/100) = 859.25

Required % = (699/859.25)*100 = 81.35 % = 81 %

18). Answer a

The total marks scored by the student P of all the given subjects together

= > (78/100)*150 + (82/100)*125 + (76/100)*175 + (90/100)*100 + (74/100)*200

= > 117 + 102.5 + 133 + 90 + 148 = 590.5

The total marks scored by the student R of all the given subjects together

= > (71/100)*150 + (77/100)*125 + (85/100)*175 + (88/100)*100 + (82/100)*200

= > 106.5 + 96.25 + 148.75 + 88 + 164 = 603.5

Required difference = 603.5 – 590.5 = 13

19). Answer c

The total marks scored by all the given students in Business maths

= > (74 + 91 + 82 + 86 + 69 + 68)*(200/100)

= > 940

The total marks scored by all the given students in English

= > (90 + 93 + 88 + 72 + 70 + 75)

= > 488

Required ratio = 940: 488 = 235: 122

20). Answer b

Total marks scored by Student T in all the given subjects together

= > (74/100)*150 + (78/100)*125 + (80/100)*175 + (70/100)*100 + (69/100)*200

= > 111 + 97.5 + 140 + 70 + 138 = 556.5

Total marks scored by Student U in all the given subjects together

= > (83/100)*150 + (89/100)*125 + (88/100)*175 + (75/100)*100 + (68/100)*200

= > 124.5 + 111.25 + 154 + 75 + 136 = 600.75

Required % = [(600.75 – 556.5)/600.75]*100 = 7.36 % = 7 %
