Directions (Q. 1 – 5):

[(4725/189)1/2 + (722/19)2] = (x)2 + 360

251/2 + 382 = x2 + 360

5 + 1444 – 360 = x2

X2 = 1089

X = 33

[(75/100)*640]/24 + (4/100)*225 = x2 + (20/100)*20

480/24 + 9 = x2 + 4

20 + 9 = x2 + 4

25 = x2

X = 5

3√x / (12 × 7) + 28 = 31

√x/ 28 = 3

√x = 84

X = 842 = 7056

3 1/3 – 1 1/9 + 2 3/7 + 1 ½ = x

(3 – 1 + 2 + 1) (1/3 – 1/9 + 3/7 + ½) = x

5 [(42 – 14 + 54 + 63)/126] = x

5 (145/126) = x

X = 6 19/126

(27/100)*500 + (28*28)/14 + 324 = (x/100)*250

135 +56 + 324 = 5x/2

515*2/5 = x

X = 206

Total ages of A, B and C six years ago

= 35*3

= 105 years

Total ages of A, B and C now= 105 + 18= 123 years

Total ages of A, B, C and D= 40*4= 160 years

Age of D= 160-123= 37 years

Age of D after 10 years= 37+10= 47 years.

Time required by Q and R to complete the whole work

= 5*14/2== 35 days

Time taken by P, Q and R= 20 days

Total units of work= 140 units

Q and R one day work= 4 units

P, Q and R one day work= 7 units

P’s one day work= 7-4= 3 units

Units of work done by P=3*140/5= 84 units

Required value of x= 84/3= 28 days

Time taken by P= 8*3/2= 12 days

Q= 7*3= 21 days

R= 8*5/4= 10 days

Total units of work = 420 units

P’s one day work= 35 units

Q’s one day work= 20 units

R’s one day work= 42 units

Work done in 4 days= 97*3= 291 units

Time required by P to complete the remaining work= 420-291/35= 129/35 days

Total units of work= 20*16= 320 units

Work done in 5 days= 20*5= 100units

Remaining work= 320 -100= 220 units

Let the number of men left after 5 days be x

So,

20-x men completed the remaining 220 units in 55/3 days

So,

(20-x)*55/3= 220

1100- 55x= 660

55x= 440

X= 8 men

Investment by A= 18000*12= 216000

Investment by B= 24000*8 + 24000*2= 240000

Investment by C= 4*15000+ 4*18000= 132000

Ratio of investment= 216:240:132= 18:20:11

Share of profit by = 20*12005/49= Rs 4900

Directions (Q. 11 – 15):

The pattern is, *2, *5(alternatively)

The pattern is, ÷ 4 + 5, ÷ 4 + 4, ÷ 4 + 3, ÷ 4 + 2,..

The pattern is, +292, +312, +332, +352,..

The pattern is, +(1*18), +(2*18), +(3*18), +(4*18),..

The pattern is, *2 + 1, *4 – 3, *6 +5, *8 -7,..

Directions (Q. 16 – 20)

Total no of passengers go by car = 420

Due to fault in the car, 35 % of passengers go by bus and 50 % of passengers go by train.

So,

Total no of passengers go by bus is,

= > 780 + 420*(35/100)

= > 780 + 147 = 927

Total no of passengers go by train is,

= > 370 + 420*(50/100)

= > 370 + 210 = 580

Required answer = 927 + 580 = 1507

Total no of tourist go by bus is,

= > 1320 + 780 + 940 + 820 + 1560

= > 5420

Total no of tourist go by flight is,

= > 700 + 530 + 420 + 390 + 310

= > 2350

Required % = [(5420 – 2350)/2350]*100 = 130.64 % = 131 %

Total no of tourist, who came to Goa,

= > 940 + 560 + 580 + 420 = 2500

Total no of tourist, who came to Kerala,

= > 820 + 370 + 450 + 390 = 2030

Required ratio = 2500: 2030 = 250: 203

Total no of tourist in Uttar Pradesh,

= > 1560 + 500 + 420 + 310

= > 2790

Total no of tourist who went to Taj mahal and Dudhwa national park is,

= > 2790*(80/100) = 2232

Average = 2232/2 = 1116

Total no of tourist, who went to Mumbai,

= > 780 + 370 + 420 + 530 = 2100

Total no of tourist, who went to Delhi,

= > 1320 + 480 + 350 + 700 = 2850

Required difference = 2850 – 2100 = 750
