    1).Union Cabinet approved Tripartite Agreement on the IBSA (India, Brazil& South Africa) Fund

    ·        2004 – IBSA fund for theAlleviation of Poverty and Hunger was set up by the 3 member countries for South-South cooperation
    ·        Each member country will contribute1 million US dollars annually for the fund
    ·        June 2003 – theIBSA Dialogue Forum was launched
    ·        December 2006 – the fund won theSouth-South Partnership Award at the2006 UN Day
    2).Union Cabinet approved setting up of National Resource Facility for Bio-medical Research (NARF)
    ·        Location of NARF –Genome Valley inHyderabad, Telangana
    ·        NARF will be set up byIndian Council for Medical Research(ICMR)
    ·        The proposal in this regard was forwarded by theDepartment of Health Research of theUnion Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
    3).Union Cabinet approved the MoU signed between India and Vietnam
    ·        Aim of MoU – to promote mutual cooperation between Vietnam and India through joint activities in the areas ofAnimal Health
    ·        It was signed in September, 2014 and will remain in force for10 years
    4).Delhi Cabinet approved the Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill, 2015
    ·        Objective of Bill – to establish an independent authority to investigate offences under thePrevention of Corruption Act, 1988
    ·        It ensures time-bound investigation of offences within6 months
    ·        The punishment for any act of corruption cannot be less than6 months and a maximum of10 years
    ·        Lokpal would comprise achairperson and10 members
    ·        It was drafted by Delhi Chief MinisterArvind Kejriwal and Deputy CMManish Sisodia
    ·        The bill resembles theUttarakhand Lokayukta Bill, 2011
    ·        The Bill will now be presented to the70-member Delhi Legislative Assembly
    ·        After the assembly approval it will be sent toLieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung for his approval

    6).Intel India launched Ek Kadam Unnati Ki Aur initiative in Telengana by opening an Unnati Centre
    ·        Location of Centre – Nadimpalle village inMahabubnagar, Telangana
    ·        The centre will be used to create the framework for theTelangana model digital village
    ·        It provides various services under theTelangana government’s e-panchayat scheme
    ·        Objective of the programme – to augment digitalization of rural India
