    ·    Prime MinisterNarendra Modi announced about this after laying the foundation stone ofDr Ambedkar Memorial at Indu Mills Compound in Mumbai, Maharashtra
    ·        26thNovember 1949– constitution of India was adopted
    ·        26thJanuary 1950– constitution came into force marking the beginning of a new era in the history of free India
    ·        Nodal ministry of Constitution day –Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment(MSJE)
    ·        This day is a part of year-long nationwide celebrations of125th birth Anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar,Chairman of the Drafting Committee of Constituent Assembly
    2).26th November observed as National Milk Day (NMD)
    ·        It marks the birth anniversaryFather of the White Revolution Dr.Verghese Kurien
    ·        26thNovember 2014Indian Dairy Association (IDA) observed the 1st NMD
    ·    As the founding chairman of theGujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), Dr. Kurien was pioneer in establishment and success ofAmulbrand of dairy products
    ·        The following are theawards and honorsreceived by Dr. Kurien
    a)   1963 –Ramon Magsaysay Award

    3).25th November observed as International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (IDEVAW)
    ·        Objective – To raise awareness about violence against women and girls, end the violence against the women
    ·        Theme of 2015 UNiTE campaign of IDEVAW –Prevention
    ·        IDEVAW was observed in the memory ofMirabal sisters of Dominican Republic who were brutally assassinated during theRafael Trujillo dictatorship in1960

    4).India successfully test-fired indigenously developed nuclear capable Prithvi-II missile
    ·        Prithvi-II missile– 1st missile to be developed by DRDO under theIntegrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP)
    ·        It was tested from a mobile launcher fromlaunch complex-3 of theIntegrated Test Range (ITR) atChandipur, Orissa

    5).Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) signed a MoU
    ·        Objective – To promote further development of economic links and cooperation between the two neighbouring countries
    ·        It was signed by the following dignitaries in the presence of Bangladesh Prime MinisterSheikh Hasina Wazed
