    1).Delhi High court allowed women to get permanent commission inIndian Navy and to board warships
    ·        This judgment was made by a Division Bench of Delhi High Court headed by JusticeKailash Gambhir on the writ petition moved by a group of women naval officers
    ·        PresentlyIndian Army andAir Force allow Permanent Commission for Female officers unlike Indian Navy
    ·        In Navy the role of female officers is limited to short term service of14 years and they are only allowed to work in the following branches
    a.   Administration
    b.   Medical
    c.   Education
    d.   Observation
    e.   Monitoring censors
    ·        As per the judgment female naval officers will have full term service in the Indian Navy and also enjoy retirement benefits as same as their male officers

    2).ISRO signed a MoU with theIndian Railways to provide online images of trains usingGeo-spatial technology to improve safety
    ·        Geospatial Technology involves the following three technologies
    a.   Global Positioning Systems (GPS)
    b.   Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
    c.   Remote Sensing (RS)
    ·        Geospatial services will also be available from satellite-assisted navigational support through theGPS Aided Geo Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) system of ISRO
    ·        This technology will help the Indian Railways in the following ways
    a.   At the time of accidents these images will help to know the exact location and the topography of the location of the train
    b.   It will be very helpful to introduceWi-Fi in trains
    c.   It will also help railways in developing solutions for safety atunmanned level crossings with remote sensing facility
    d.   Geo-fencing– a virtual barrier which uses the global positioning system (GPS) orradio frequency identification (RFID) to define geographical boundaries of stations can be done using this technology

    3). Haryana Legislative Assemblypassed theHaryana Police (Amendment) Bill 2015 to abolish thePolice Recruitment Board to end the nepotism in the police recruitments in the state
    o  Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will facilitate direct recruitment to various non-gazette ranks in the police service
    o  Gazette posts will be filled byHaryana Public Service Commission (HPSC)
