    1). Operation Valsalya begins in Ernakulum
    ·        The Kerala government has launched ‘Operation Valsalya’ to trace,rescue and reunite the missed children with their family. The project aims at ensuring the safety and security of wandering children in the district and uploading the collected details, with photograph, to a web based National Tracking System

    2). Bengal to get India’s first dolphin reserve
    ·        West Bengal will soon have the country’s first community reserve toprotect endangered Gangetic River Dolphins
    ·        Chief Wildlife Warden West Bengal and Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) Azam Zaidi told that it would be set up in the Hooghly River and separate community will develop the community reserve
    ·        According to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) factsheet, there are fewer than 2000 Gangetic dolphins left in the country in the entire distribution range along the Ganga and Brahmaputra river system
    ·        Dolphinswas declared as theNational Aquatic Animal in 2010 and often known as the Tiger of the Ganges

    ·        Finance minister from 20 of the countries launchedV20 group forclimatechanges to fight against theimpact of global warming
    ·        TheV20’s inaugural chaired byPhilippines Finance Minister Cesar Purisima
    ·        The V20’s members are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Barbados, Bhutan, Costa Rica, East Timor, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Kiribati, Madagascar, the Maldives, Nepal, The Philippines, Rwanda, Saint Lucia, Tanzania, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Vietnam.
    4). Jurgen Klopp has appointed as Liverpool Manager
    ·        Liverpool have confirmed the appointment of 48 year old Jurgen Klopp as their new manager by replacing Brendan Rodgers

    5). India Ecuador ink pact to set up JETCO to boost trade
    ·        Indiaand South AmericanEcuador signed an agreement to set up aJoint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) to strength trade relations between the countries
    ·        The agreement signed during the meeting ofAmbassador of Ecuador Mentor Vilagomez and commerce secretary Rita Teotiato India
    ·        The JETCO will function as the primary forum for discussion and other promotional activities on trade and investment issues and first meeting of the JETCO will be held early next year in India

    6). BRICS to check human trafficking and migrant smuggling
    ·        The firstministerial meeting on migration held in Sochi, Russia,BRICS countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, issued a joint declaration expressing commitment to ensure orderly and legal migration amongst the member nation and respect human rights
    ·        They promised to strengthen dialogue and cooperation among member countries and prevent criminal human trafficking and migrant smuggling
    ·        Strengthen the cooperation in the field of migration, including migration policies, procedures and strategies of migration authorities of the BRICS countries
    ·        Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju led theIndiandelegation at the meeting

    7). Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission – Sekhar Basu
    ·        Sekhar Basuwas appointed aschairman of Atomic Energy Commission (AEC)and he will also occupy the office secretary, Department of Atomic Energy (DAE)
    ·        Presently Sekhar Basu is the director of Bhabha Atomic research Center (BARC), Mumbai and also the chief executive of Nuclear Recycle board (NRB) which is part of BARC
    ·        He was also conferred with Padma Shri Award (2014), the DAE special Achievement award (2007) and Indian Nuclear Society Award (2002)

    8). Rajasthan startup policy 2015 unveiled by the state government Rajasthan
    ·        The Startup policy was unveiled Chief Minister Vasundra Raje during the Rajasthan startup Fest 2015
    ·        The policy was launched with an aim to establish 50 incubator organizations in next 5 years and also provide with marketing assistance of 10Lakh rupees at launch stage

    ·        Corporate Affairs Secretary a Gujarat cadre IAS officer Tapan Rayhas been appointed to the board of capital market regulator, Securities and Exchange board (SEBI) by succeeding Anjuly Chib Duggal
    ·        Tapan Ray took charge as a secretary in Union Corporate Affairs Ministry in August 2015

    11). AR Rahman to receive the Hridaynath Mangeshkar award on October 26
    ·        The Fifth Hridaynath Award will be honored to music composer AR Rahman by veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai on the birth anniversary of Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar

    ·        VICCOchairmanGajanan Pendharkhar, an industrialist from Maharashtra and chairman of VICCO Group of Companies,passed away in Mumbai

    13). Flautist N.Ramani passed away
    ·        RenownedCarnatic flautist Dr Natesan Ramani passed away in Chennai. He was 82
    ·        He introduced the long flute in Carnatic music and performed his first concert on All India Radio (AIR) in 1945
    ·        He was awarded withSangita Kalanidhi title (1996) of the music academy and Sangeetha kalasikhamani award (2007)

    14). Music director Ravindra Jain passes away
    ·        Music director and lyricist Ravindra Jain passed away in Mumbai aged 71
    ·        He won Film fare award for best Music for ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ (1985), Latamangeshkar lifetime achievement award of Maharashtra government  and Padma Shri (2015)
