    2).Union Home MinisterRajnath Singhinaugurated theIndian Police Foundation(IPF) andIndian Police Institute(IPI) in New Delhi
    ·        They have been set up and registered under theSocieties Registration Act, 1860 as anAll India Society
    ·        It has been set up in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of a Smart, people-centric and professionally competent police
    ·        Indian Police Foundation
    a)   It will be a think tank for suggesting reforms in the Indian Police
    b)   It will bring together the police professionals, academia and other stake holders and provide a platform to research, ideate, discuss and seek the answers.
    ·        Indian Police Institute
    a)   It will be a research and training institute for police officers in the Indian Police for the pursuit of professional excellence
    ·        Aimof both the agencies
    a)   To embark a culture of research and evidence-based policing in India
    b)   To avoid personal errors and biases in decision-making

    4).Prime MinisterNarendra Modi laid the foundation stoneAmaravati, a new capital city ofAndhra Pradesh at a grand ceremony held inGunturdistrict
    ·        State government signed a MoU withSingapore government agencies for preparing the master plan for Amaravati which was submitted inJuly 2015
    ·        Amaravati is located betweenVijayawada andGuntur region of state on the banks ofKrishna River
    ·        The name Amaravathi was chosen in view of the historical, spiritual and mythological significance as it was ancient seat ofSatavahana kingdom
    ·        The capital city will house the following in  area covering16.7 sq km

    6).Britain signed a nuclear deal withChina to build the United Kingdom’s1st nuclear power plant since the 1980s during the official visit of Chinese PresidentXi Jinping to London
    ·        The nuclear power plant will be built atHinkley Point, Somersetnear London with total planned investment of18 billion pound
    ·        The agreement was signed between the following organizations
    a)   France’sEDF Energy
    b)   China’sGeneral Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN)
    ·        CGN will contribute6 billion pounds i.e. 1/3rdof the total planned investment then the distributions of stakes are as follows
    a)   CGN –2/3rd stakes
    b)   Areva –1/5th stakes
    ·        The plant will be become operational by2025providing affordable power to Britain
    ·        The agreement is considered as the1st major Chinese investment in Western nuclear facility
    ·        Both the countries also signed more deals worth more than30 billion pounds

    ·        It describes the journey ofSatanarayan Gangaram Pitroda known as Sam Pitroda
