    1).A P Shan Committee, which was formed by Union Finance Ministry recommends theMinimum Alternate Tax (MAT) should not be imposed on Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) retrospectively before 1stApril 2015.

    2).Madhya Pradesh Government has placed to setup theworld’s largest solar power station with total capacity of750 Mega Watts, atRewa district. This Project was planned by joint venture of Solar Energy Corporation of India and MP Urja Vikas Nigam, and named the project as “Rewa Ultra Mega Solar”.
    At present the world’s largest solar power projects runs at California, US with facility off 392 MW.

     3).Google has signed a MoU with Haryana Government to providedigital literacy in the state. This was signed in Silicon Valley in the presence of Visiting Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar. Google has planned to provide digital literacy and knowledge about internet safety in government schools and government officials.

    4).R Gandhi Committee, which was formed by RBI has recommended the conversion ofUrban Cooperative Banks (UCBs) which has business volume of 20,000 crore and above that in regular banks. This committee was head by the RBI Deputy Governor,R Gandhi.
    This recommendation is not compulsory for all UCBs and they can continue their operation as they like, large UCBs can switch over into commercial banks to reduce the systemic risk.
    UCBs, which has lower business volume below 20,000 crore can convert in to Small Finance Banks by applying to RBI.

    5).Golfer Aditi Ashok has become thefirst Indian Women to win LadiesBritish Amateur Stroke Play Championship., which was held at Leeds, UK. Also she is the youngest women (17 years old) to win this championship. She also achieved the prestigious St. Rule Trophy in July 2015, placed second in the European Women’s Amateur Championship 2015, and also claimed the overall title called, “the Nicholls Trophy and Dinwiddy Trophy”.

    6).Arthur Morris, the formerAusralian Cricketerhas passed away, at his age of 93. He is the Australian greatest left-handed batsman, popularly known as the member of Don Bradman’s 1948 “Invincibles” team.
    He is the first Australian Cricketer to score centuries in both innings of his first class debut at the age of 18.

    7).N R Varhadpande, eminentSanskrit Scholar and Indologist has passed away. He is the author of the famous book”Aryan Invasion: A Myth”. He also worked as the Chief Psychologist in the Ministry of Defence.
