    1). International Day of Older Persons – 1-OCT-2015
    ·        United Nations General Assembly declared1-OCT as International Day of Older Persons and celebrated 25th anniversary this year 2015.

    ·        National Food Security Act,2013- people can buy wheat at the rate of Rs.2 per kg and Rice at the rate of Rs.3 per kg on monthly basis

    ·        Russian lawmakers voted unanimously to let President Vladimir Putin send Russian troops to Syria.
    ·        Putin has to request parliament approval for any of troops, according to the Russian constitution
    ·        It will  only use  Air force and not the ground troops

    o  Demilitarization of Kashmir
    o  Withdrawal of forces from Siachen
    o  Use of UNMOGIP(United Nations Military Observer Group in India  and Pakistan) to monitor the observance of ceasefire
    o  Reaffirm that they will not resort to the use or the threat of use of force under any circumstances    

    8). The price of domestic natural gas was slashed to 3.82 US dollar per mmBtu from 4.66 US dollar per mmBtu
    ·        Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas announced that price of domestic natural gas was reduced by  18 percent from 3.82 US dollar per mmBtu to 4.66 US dollar per mmBtu due to fall in international prices
