    1). Indiaearned100 million dollars by launching45 commercial foreign satellites from19 countries.Antrix, the commercial arm of theIndian Space Research Organization (ISRO) earned this. To increase this revenue Antrix signed agreements withsix countriesas follows, Algeria, Canada, Germany, Indonesia, Singapore, and United States.

    2). ISROtest fired theGeosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mark III project’shigh-thrust cryogenic rocket engine.

    15). Astronomers discovered a new planetary system
         Astronomers discovered a new planetary system with 3 Super-Earths and 1 outer giant planet using HARPS-N spectrograph. This new planetary system was named as HD219134 which is at a distance of 21 light years from Earth. It also consists of the constellation named Cassiopeia. HARPS-N spectrograph is installed at the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo, Spain

    16). Asia’s biggest telescope MAST unveiled in Rajasthan
        Professor U. R. Rao, Chairman of Physical Research Laboratory inaugurated Asia’s biggest Multi-Application Solar Telescope (MAST) at Udaipur Solar Observatory, Rajasthan. It will provide 3-D images of solar activities through its lens of 50cm in diameter. MAST was installed by Union Ministry of Science and Technology and funded by Department of Space (DoS)

    17). NASA signed contract with Russia to carry US astronauts to ISS
         National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) signed a contract worth 490 million dollars with Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) to carry US astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) till 2019. NASA has been dependent on Roscosmos for access to ISS after it had ended its space shuttle program in July 2012.

    18). China tested power system for Long March-5 carrier
         Chins successfully tested the engines namely the power system of Long March-5 carrier. This power system will also be used in its Chang’e-5 lunar mission of 2017. Long March-5 carrier has a payload capacity of 25 tonnes to low earth orbits and 14 tonnes to geostationary transfer orbits and is the largest space launch vehicle

    19). DRDO developed a medicine Lukoskin to treat Leucoderma
        Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar announced that the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) developed a poly-herbal medicine, Lukoskin for the treatment of Leucoderma. Lukoskin is an ointment developed by Defence Bio-Energy Research (DIBER) laboratory of DRDO. AIMIL Pharmaceutical Private Limited will produce and market the medicine commercially

    20). ISRO signed agreement with US to launch 9 nano or micro US satellites during 2015-16
        Antrix Corporation Ltd. of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) signed an agreement with United Sates to launch 9 nano/micro satellites of US using its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) during the year 2015-16. This is the 1sttime in ISRO history where it will launch US satellites

    21). ISRO successfully launched GSAT-6 using GSLV-D6
         ISRO has successfully launched the 25thgeostationary communication satellite GSAT-6 into its intended geosynchronous transfer orbit using the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV)–D6 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikotta. This is the 2ndsuccessful GSLV launch using an indigenous cryogenic engine.

    22). China launched smaller version Long March -6 carrier rocket
    China successfully launched a newly developed smaller version Long March 6 carrier rocket, carried 20 micro satellites into the space. Launched from Shanxi. Long March 6 is 29.3 meter in length and is smallest version of carrier rocket in the Long March family. It uses liquid propellant fuel composed of liquid oxygen and kerosene. Payload capacity is capable of taking satellites in to the orbit at an altitude of 700km
    23). Mangalyaan has completed one year of the mission life around Mars
    India’s Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) spacecraft has completed one year of the mission life around the Mars built and launched by ISRO in record period less than two years in 450 crores rupees (73 million US dollars), which is cheapest inter- planetary mission till date to reach Mars. To mark first anniversary of MOM, Ahmadabad based Space Applications Center of Indian Space Research organization released Mar Atlas mobile application. Mar Atlas contains compilation of photos taken at varying spatial resolutions by the Mars Color Camera (MCC) fitted on board of the spacecraft.
    24). First Dedicated satellite for astronomy research Astrosat has been launched
    India’s first dedicated multi-wavelength satellite and one of the major scientific mission of ISRO for astronomy research Astrosat has been successfully launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikotta. It was launched along with 6 foreign satellites by launch vehicle- C30 (PSLV –C30).  As a space observatory it has ability to observe celestial bodies like cosmic X-Ray sources and distant starts in different wavelengths.
    It has science research mission life of five years and will operate as a space observatory
    25). DRDO sets up world’s highest terrestrial research center
        The Director General of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Dr. S. Christopher inaugurated the world’s highest terrestrial research center named Extreme Altitude Research Centre located at 17,600 feet above mean sea level near the Pengong Lake at Changla, Ladakh

    26). Union Government flagged off the Climate Special Science Express
        Union Science and Technology Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan flagged off the Science Express Climate Action Special (SECAS) with the theme of Climate Change from Safardung railway station in New Delhi to create awareness among various sections of the society especially students about challenges and issues associated with Climate Change
