    Recently Lok Sabha has passed theRight to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill 2015 which replaces the RFCTLARR Act, 2013. 9 new amendments were done by the Union Government in this new bill.

    Rajya Sabha has passed theCitizenship Amendment Bill, 2015 which replaces an ordinance in the Citizenship Act, 1955.

    Lok Sabha has recently passed theCoal Mines (Special Provisions) Bill, 2015 that replaces the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Second Ordinance, 2014.

    Lok Sabha has passed theInsurance Laws Amendment Bill, 2015 which replaces the ordinance promulgated and improves the existing laws related to insurance business in India.

    President Pranab Mukherjee has assent to MaharashtraAnimal Preservation Amendment Bill, 1995. It was done after 19 years which was passed by State Assembly in 1995.

    Recently, Lok Sabha has passed theMotor Vehicle Amendment Bill, 2015 which replaces the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

    Lok Sabha has passed theMines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2015. In Order to regulate the Mining Sectors in India this bill amends the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957.

    Recently, Rajya Sabha has passed the constitutionScheduled Castes Amendment Bill 2014, which modifies the list of Scheduled Castes in Haryana, Karnataka, Odisha and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

    President Pranab Mukherjee has passed an ordinance regarding the amendment in theMotor Vehicle Act, 1988 as per Article 123 of the Constitution. This ordinance allows the e-rickshaws in Delhi.

    Union Government has announced that the India’sCivil Liability Nuclear Damage (CLND) Act, 2010 or CLND rules will not be amended. This Decision was taken after the President Barack Obama’s Visit to India.

      Karnataha– Bhovi, Od, odde, Vaddar, Waddar.
      Odisa-Dhoba,Dhobi, Dom, Domba Dom, Kati,Kela, Nalua, kela,Khadala  and Turi.
       Dadra and Nagar Haveli-Chamar.

    Haryana Government has passed Haryana Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan bill, 2015 which was passed to ban cow Slaughter.

    Parliament has passed Insurance Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2015.

    On 11th 2015 the Parliament has passed the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) bill. This bill was passed to amend the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

    Lok Sabha has passed the Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill, 2015 that amends the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 that makes the Cheque-bounce filing cases more convenient for cheque Payees (Person who receives the cheque).

    Union Government has given its approval for the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Amendment Bill, 2015. This bill amends the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act 1988.

    Lok Sabha has passed the Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assents (Imposition of Tax) Bill, 2015 on 11th May. This bill deals with the menace of black money and to replace the Income Tax Act, 1961 for the taxation of foreign income.

    Lok Sabha has passed the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Bill, 2014 that allows trying of juveniles between the ages 16 and 18 years as adults for heinous crime.

    Rajya Sabha has passed the Delhi High Court (Amendment) Bill, 2014 on 6th May 2015. This bill was passed to amend the Delhi High Court Act 1966.

    Union Cabinet has approved the Constitution (119th Amendment) Bill, on Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) between India and Bangladesh.

    Union Cabinet has approved the amendment that was made in Whistle Blowers Protection Act, 2011.

    President Pranab Mukherjee has approved theNegotiable Instrument (Amendment) Ordinance 2015, which amends the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. This amendment will help more than 18 lakh people, those who are facing issues related to cheque bouncing cases.
    Highlights of Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill 2015:
    ·        The main amendment is the stipulation that the offence of rejection/return of cheque under the section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act will be enquired into and tried only by a court within whose local jurisdiction the bank branch of the payee, where the payee presents the cheque for payment is situated.
    ·        Section 138 of the Negotiable Act deals with the offence pertaining to dishonor of cheque for insufficiency, etc of funds in the drawer’s account on which the cheque is drawer for the discharge of any legally enforceable debt or other liability.
    ·        The bill adds provision to specify the territorial jurisdiction of the courts in cases related to bouncing of cheques which was not present in the parent Act.
    ·        It says that cases in this regards need to be filed only in a court in whose jurisdiction the bank branch of the payee lies.
    ·        It also adds provision related to more than one case is filed against the same person before different courts for bouncing of cheques. In this matter, the case will be transferred to the court that has appropriate jurisdiction.
    ·        The bill also amends the definition of cheque. Now it defines it as cheque in the electronic form which is signed in a secure system with a digital signature or using electronic system and drawn in electronic medium using any computer resource.

    President, Pranab Mukherjee has approved the re-promulgation ofLand Ordinance for the 3rd time as per provision of Article 123 of Indian Constitution.
