    Dear Readers, list of Agreements/MoU’s signed during the visit of Chancellor of Federal Republic of Germany to India on October 2015 was given below.

    INDO-GERMAN MOU’S
    1). On 5th October 2015,India andGermany signed a deal to fast-track business approvals to make it easier for German companies to operate in India

    2). The fast-track approvals process will ensure that German firms will have a single point of contact in the Indian administration

    3). India and Germany also inked around 18 agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance ties in key areas of defence, manufacturing, trade, intelligence and clean energy

    4). These agreements and MoU were signed at the end of the3rdIndo-German Inter Governmental Consultations (ICG) in New Delhi

    5). The Indo-German ICG was co-chaired by the following dignitaries
    ·        Indian Prime Minister –Narendra Modi
    ·        German Chancellor –Angela Merkel

    6). Germany will also provide assistance of over1 billion euros for India’s green energy corridor and solar projects

    7). The following are theMoU – Agreements signed between India and Germany
    ·        Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) between theMinistry of Human Resource Developmentof India and theFederal Foreign Officeof Germany regarding the Promotion of German as a Foreign Language in India and the Promotion of Modern Indian Languages in Germany. This was signed by the following dignitaries
