Solution:
1). B) Let the expenditure of A in the year 2007-08 be 200
expenditure of C in the year 2010-11 = 300
Income of A in the year 2007-08 = 320
Income of C in the year 2010-11 = 450
Ratio = 320/450 = 32 : 45

2). C) Suppose the income of company B in 2011-12 and that of company A in 2010-11 = 100 expenditure of B in the year 2011-12 = 100/1.7
expenditure of A in the year 2010-11 = 100/1.55
Ratio = 1.55/1.70 = 31/34  = 31:34

3). C) 2008-09 In the year in which % profit is max the ratio of exp to income will be minimum.

4). D)  IB(2008-09) – IC (2011-12)= 310 crore
ExB(2008-09) – Ex (2011-12)
= {IB (2008-09) ร— (100/155)}
= {Ic (2011-12) ร— (100/155)}
or, (In-B โ€“ In –C) (100/155) = 310 ร— (100/155) = 200 crore

5). D) canโ€™t be determined

6). D)
Series is written in descending order with a difference of 9, 8, 7, 6 and 5, respectively. Hence, the missing number will be 104.

7). A)
Series proceeds with a difference of 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, respectively. Hence, the missing number will be 51.

8). A)
Number between 1st and 3rd, 4th and 6th, 7th and 9th is the product of the adjacent numbers. Hence the missing number will be 126/6 = 21.

9). A)
23*1 -1^2 = 23-1 = 22
22*2-2^2 = 44 โ€“ 4 = 40
40*3-3^2 = 120 โ€“ 9= 111
111*4-4^2 = 444-16 = 428

10). A)
67+1^2 = 67+1 = 68
68-2^2 = 68-4 = 64
64+3^2 = 64+9 = 73
73-4^2 = 73-16 = 57
