Solutions:
1). A=36000 [( 1+ (11/100) )2-1]
=36000×(111/100) × (111/100)
= Rs.44355.6
Compound interest = 44355.6 – 36000 = Rs.8355.6
Answer: b)

Answer: a)
3). s= (a+ b+ c)/2 = (3+4+5)/2 =12/2 =6
           Area of ∆=√[s(s-a) (s-b) (s-c)]
                          =√[6 (6-3) (6-4) (6-5)] =√(6×3×2×1)=6 cm².
Answer: c)

      x-6 = 3(y-6)
       x-3y=-12                      (Ⅰ)
       7x+42=9y+54
       7x-9y=12                     (Ⅱ)
       By equation (Ⅰ) and (Ⅱ), x=12, y=8
       Shankar’s present age =12 years
Answer: d)
