Solutions(hint):

1).
4 ร— 110 : 5 ร— 120
= 11 : 15

2).
= 2 : 1
Cost price of mixture = (10ร—100)/125 = Rs.8
Water (added)= 16 ร— ยฝ = 8 litre

3).
(A+B)โ€™s 1 hour work = 1/12 + 1/15 = 3/20
(A+C)โ€™s 1 hour work = 1/12 + 1/20 = 2/15
2 hours work = 3/20 + 2/15 = 17/60
Remaining part = 1- 17/60 = 3/20
Total time = 6 + 1 = 7

4).
Let initial price = Rs.100
S.P of 60% (decline )= Rs.40
C.P = 40ร— 100/90 = 400/9
Profit = 100 โ€“ 400/9ร  500/9
Profit % = [ (500/9) / (400/9) ] ร— 100
= 125 %

5).
Distance = 80 ร— 4.5 = 360 km
Speed = 360/4 = 90 km/hr

6).
Percent marks = 234/300 ร— 100 = 78

7).
Milk = 108 litre, Water = 72 litre
108/(72+x) = 2/3 , 144 + 2x = 324
2x = 180
x= 90 litres

8).
l+b+h โ€“ 19 โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ. (I)
l2+b2+h2 = 152 โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.(II)
Squaring equation (I)
(l+b+h)2 = 361
(l+b+h)2 โ€“ SA = (l2+b2+h2)
(l2+b2+h2) = 361 โ€“ 125
= 236 cm2

9).
X ร— (120/100) ร— (90/100) ร— (125ร—100)= 5427
X = (5427ร—100ร—100ร—100) / (120ร—90ร—125)
X = Rs.4020

10).
Water required = 5000 ร— 150
= 750000 litres = 750 m2
Volume of tank = 20 ร— 15 ร— 5 = 1500 ltr.
Required no of days = (1500/750) = 2 days
