Explanation:

1).Required production = 12 / 100 ร— 860 = 103.2 lakh tonnes.

2).Production increase from 2009 to 2010 = (690 โ€“ 500) / 500 ร— 100 = 38% increase
From 2010 to 2011 = 90 / 690 ร— 100 = 13.04% decrease
From 2011 to 2012 = 260 / 600 ร— 100 = 43.33% increase
From 2012 to 2013 = 80 / 860 ร— 100 = 9.30% decrease
Thus these years are 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Hence, there are only three years.

3).Total production of steel by Company A in year 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013 = 500 ร— 18 / 100 + 690 ร— 18 / 100 + 600 ร— 18 / 100 + 780 ร— 18 / 100
= 18 / 100 ร— (500 + 690 + 600 + 780)
= 18 / 100 ร— 2570 = 462.6 lakh tonnes.

4).Average production = 500 + 690 + 600 + 860 + 780 / 5 = 686 lakh tonnes
Hence the production of steel is more than average production in the year 2010, 2012 and 2013.
Thus, there are only three years in which production of steel is more than average production.

5).Let the angle be xยฐ.
Then, x / 360 ร— 860 = 129
(15% of 860 = 129)
x = 129 โ€“ 360 /860 = 54ยฐ.

6).Production of Steel in India = 1000 tonnes
Productivity of Steel in India = 1000 / 800 = 1.25 tonnes per factory
P = 600 tonnes
Productivity of Steel in Pakistan = 600 / 600 = 1 tonnes per factory
Required ratio = 1.25: 1 = 125 :  100  = 5 :  4.

7).Total  factories in India  =  300  +   500 +  500 +  700 +  800 =   2800
Total  factories  in  Pakistan  =  500  +  400 + 700 +  500 +  600 =   2700
Required  difference  =  2800  โ€“  2700  = 100.

8).Total  number  of  Cotton  factories in Pakistan  =  400
Total  number  of  Cement  factories  in India = 700
Required % = 400 ร— 100 / 700 = 57.14 % of the number  of  Cement  factories  in India.

9).Production  of  fertilizer  in Pakistan =  50  ร—  700  =  35000 tonnes
Export  of  Pakistan  is  40%  of  its production.
Then,  the  Fertilizer  used  by  Pakistan itself =  35000 ร— 60 / 100  =  21000 tonnes
Production  of  Fertilizer  in  India  =  60  ร— 500 =  30000  tonnes
India exports 30% of its  production. So,  Fertilizer  used  by  India  itself = 30000 ร— 70 / 100 = 21000 tonnes
Required  difference  =  21000  โ€“  21000 =  0  tonne.
