Directions (1-5) :

Number of pen purchased by Mala = 2x

Number of pencil purchased by Isha = x

Number of pencil purchased by Aditya = 100/300 * x = x/3

Number of pen purchased by Anand = a

Number of pencil purchased by Anand = b

Number of pen purchased by Isha = c

Number of pencil purchased by Mala = d

Number of pen purchased by Vimal = e

Number of pencil purchased by Vimal = f

Number of pen purchased by Devi = g

Number of pencil purchased by Devi = h

Number of pen purchased by Aditya = x

a + f = 128

d + x/3 = 120

2x – x/3 = 100

5x = 100 * 3

x = 60

d = 120 – 60/3 = 100

a = 50/100 * 100 = 50

b + h = (2x + x + x)/3

b + h = 240/3 = 80 —–(1)

h – b = 20 —–(2)

2h = 100

h = 50

b = 30

c = 12 + b

c = 42

g = 72

f = 128 – 50 = 78

e = 86

1) Answer: A

Required total = 86 + 30 = 116

2) Answer: B

3) Answer: C

Required difference = 100 – 72 = 28

4) Answer: E

Required average = (42 + 78)/2

= 120/2

= 60

5) Answer: B

Required total = (120 + 60 + 72 + 86 + 42 + 50)

= 430

Directions (6-10) :

Number of students like Web Designing = a

Number of students like mobile application = b

Number of students like graphic designing = c

Number of students like cyber security = d

Number of students like animation = e

Number of students like tally = f

f = 200/100 * a

d/e= 3/1

(b + f) = 2c

d = 120/100 * f

d = 6/5 * f

80 = d – c

d =6/5 * 2a = 12a/5

c = 12a/5 – 80

(b + 2a)/2 = 12a/5 – 80

5b + 10a = 24a – 800

5b = 14a – 800

b = (14a – 800)/5

12a/5= 3e

4a/5= e

a + (14a – 800)/5 + (12a/5 – 80) + 12a/5 + 4a/5 + 2a = 900

5a + 14a – 800 + 12a – 400 + 12a + 4a + 10a = 900 * 5

57a = 5700

a = 100

b = (14 * 100 – 800)/5= 120

c =12 * 100/5 – 80= 160

d = 160 + 80= 240

e = 4 * 100/5= 80

f =2 * 100= 200

6) Answer: B

Number of girls like web designing =2/5 * 100= 40

Number of boys like web designing = 3/5 * 100= 60

Number of girls like web designing from CSE = 20

Number of boys like web designing from ECE = 40 * 90/100= 36

Number of boys like web designing from CSE = 60 – 36 = 24

Required ratio= (20 + 36):(24 + 20)

= 56:44

= 14:11

Required Average=(64 + 120 + 140)/3

= 324/3

= 108

8) Answer: C

Required percentage= 80/(100 + 160) *100

= (80/260) *100

=30.76%

9) Answer: B

Girls like mobile application = 3/5 * 120= 72

Boys like mobile application = 2/5 * 120= 48

Girls like cyber security = 1/4 * 240= 60

Boys like cyber security = 3/4 * 240= 180

Required percentage = (72 + 60)/(48 + 180) *100

= (132/228) * 100

=57.89%
