Eligibility Criteria for IBPS PO 2021

The IBPS is following certain eligibility norms to recruit the candidates. Therefore check the eligibility criteria first to initiate the application process. The eligibility is based on the Nationality, Educational Qualification, and Age limit. Also, it is mandatory to meet those eligibility norms to proceed with the  IBPS PO 2021 registration process.

Nationality:

A candidate must be either –

 

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii)

(iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

As on 10.11.2021,

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. So the candidate must possess a valid mark sheet or degree certificate.
  • The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicates the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
  • Proficiency in the local language is a must. Both verbal and written proficiency is needed.

  • If a candidate has defaulted in repayment of loans or credit card dues, he is not eligible.

Steps for IBPS PO 2021 Apply Online:

  • Have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results of this round of CRP. Do’s & Don’ts in IBPS PO Scanned Images

  • Candidate should carry additional passport size photographs which they have uploaded in the IBPS PO Application form 2021.
  • In IBPS 2021, candidates should upload their signature as well as their Guardian’s signature in the Application form
  • The Signature must be in a running letter. Avoid Capital Letter Signatures.
  • In case a candidate wears spectacles, they must make sure that there is no glare on the eyes. The eyes of the candidate should be visible.

IBPS PO 2021 Application Fee:

The IBPS PO 2021 registration application fee must be paid only through online mode. The IBPS PO application fee get differs for the candidates belonging to each category. After the payment of fees, you cannot expect a refund for any reason. You can opt for a credit card or debit card or net banking or any such ways. Once paid, it will be not refunded in any case. The category-wise exam fee is mentioned below;

  • Rs.175/- for SC/ST/PWBD candidates.
  • Rs.850/- for all others.

IBPS PO 2021 Exam Centre:

At the time of filling online application, candidates can choose their exam centers for both prelims and mains. However, in the case of non-availability, you may be offered exam centers other than your preferences. Also, you cannot claim the change in the exam center. IBPS is the sole authority to add, remove, or change any exam center.

IBPS PO Selection Process:

The IBPS panel recruits the eligible candidates through the recruitment drive. The recruitment drive is getting varied for various levels of posts. For the IBPS PO post, the selection process has been conducted in 3 stages. They are

(i) Prelims Exam

(ii) Mains Exam

(iii) Interview

The prelims exam is the initial stage of the selection process. It is just a qualifying exam. The marks obtained from this won’t be considered for the final selection. But candidates have to qualify in the prelims exam to move forward to the mains exam. The mains exam plays a vital role in which marks obtained from this will be considered for the final selection. Candidates who have qualified the mains exam will be allowed to attend the interview round.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern

Both the prelims and main exams of IBPS PO have sectional timing. So you can not swap between the three sections of the exam. Each question carries one mark. But 1/4th of the mark is deducted for wrong answers. So avoid fluke works in the exam. Students should know the complete pattern. So they can start the practice accordingly.

  • There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. The IBPS PO 2021 Prelims is easier than the Main Examination as prelims are the first round. This section comprises the Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and English Language section. IBPS PO Interview

List of Documents to be Produced at the Time of Interview:

The following documents in original and self-attested photocopies in support of the candidate’s eligibility and identity are to be invariably submitted at the time of interview failing which the candidate may not be permitted to appear for the interview. Non-submission of requisite documents by the candidate at the time of the interview will debar his candidature from further participation in the recruitment process.

(i) Printout of the valid IBPS PO 2021 Interview Call Letter

(ii) Valid system generated printout of the online application form registered for CRP- PO/MT-XI

(iii) Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Municipal Authorities or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB)

(iv) Photo Identify Proof as indicated in Point H(i) of the advertisement

(v) Mark-sheets or certificates for Graduation or equivalent qualification etc. Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 26.08.2020 has to be submitted.

(vi) Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by the Government of India in the case of SC / ST / OBC category candidates. Candidates belonging to the OBC category but coming under the creamy layer and/ or if their caste does not find a place in the Central List are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General in the online application form.

(vii) Income and Asset Certificate issued by anyone of the Authorities as notified by the Government of India in the prescribed format in the case of EWS category candidates.

(viii) Disability certificate in the prescribed format issued by the District Medical Board in case of Persons With Benchmark Disability category. If the candidate has used the services of a Scribe at the time of the online exam the duly filled in details of the scribe in the prescribed format.

(ix) An Ex-serviceman candidate has to produce a copy of the Service or Discharge book along with pension payment order and documentary proof of rank last / presently held (substantive as well as acting) at the time of the interview. Those who are still in defense service should submit a certificate from a competent authority that they will be relieved from defense services, on or before 25.08.2021.

(x) Candidates serving in Government / quasi govt offices/ Public Sector Undertakings (including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions) are required to produce a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer at the time of the interview, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered and traveling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.

(xi) The No Objection Certificate should not be issued for appearing in IBPS PO 2021 interview for selection to any particular participating organization as the Common Recruitment Process is for all participating organizations. Production of such conditional NOCs at the time of the interview will not be considered and such candidates will not be permitted to participate in interview/will not be considered for the further selection process.

(xii) Persons eligible for age relaxation under II (5) must produce a certificate from the District Magistrate to the effect that they are eligible for relief in terms of the Rehabilitation Package for 1984 Riot Affected Persons sanctioned by the Government and communicated vide Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Financial Services communication No.F.No.9/21/2006-IR dated 27.07.2007.

(xiii) Experience certificates, if any

(xiv) Persons falling in categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) of Point B (I) should produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt. Of India

(xv) Any other relevant documents in support of eligibility

IBPS PO 2021 Final Score Calculation:

  • The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates).
  • The weightage (ratio) of the Online Main Exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
  • The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Main Examination of CRP- PO/MT-XI and Interview.
  • Interview scores of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed.
  • A candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment.

IBPS PO Provisional Allotment:

On completion of the interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled based on the business needs of the Participating Organisations and as reported to IBPS. candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations, based on merit-cum-preference keeping in view the spirit of Govt.

IBPS PO Cut Off

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of the Online Main examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online Main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for the interview. IBPS releases the cut-off for the preliminary exam along with the declaration of result. The factors that influence the cutoff declaration are competition level, the toughness level of exam in each session, the number of vacancies, etc. By analyzing these factors a cutoff is fixed at every stage of IBPS PO 2021 recruitment.

IBPS PO Admit Card

IBPS PO 2021 Prelims/ Mains examination admit card will be released in about 15 days prior to the exam. You can download the admit card from the official website of IBPS. The admit card carries all the important information such as exam date, exam session, reporting time, exam center, candidate’s name, roll number, registration number, password, photograph, and other details. It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Or else you will not be permitted to take your exam. The admit card also carries some instructions and rules that should be strictly followed in the exam hall. The candidates attending the exam must possess the following items to the exam hall without fail;

  • Valid admit card. Your photograph should be affixed in the space provided in the call letter.
  • Original photo identity proof, with the name being the same in the application form.
  • Photocopy of the original ID proof that you are providing.

Also, the candidates who are coming late i.e, after the reporting time mentioned in the call letter, will not be permitted to take their exam.
