SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria

One of the most notable things is eligibility criteria. State Bank of India announced certain eligibility norms for the applicants who wish to apply for SBI Clerk posts. The candidates satisfying eligibility criteria can apply for this post.

SBI Age Limit to apply Clerk Exam 2018 (as on 1st January 2018):

The applicant age between of 20 to 28 years will be considered as eligible to apply for SBI Clerk exam.

  • Minimum Age – 20 years
  • Maximum Age – 28 years

SBI Age Relaxation (as on 1st January 2018):

The SBI authorities have given certain age relaxation for the applicant. Age Relaxation is common from the recruiting bodies. Now it will be applicable for SBI Clerk Exam as per the Government norms.

SBI Clerk Age Relaxation according to the categories are as follows:

  • OBC (Non – Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • SC/ST & Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
  • PWD (General): 10 years
  • PWD (OBC): 13 years
  • PWD (SC/ST): 15 years

Commissioned Officers with 5 years’ service completed & released and Jammu & Kashmir domiciled during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989

Graduation degree in any discipline or any equivalent qualification will be acceptable to apply for SBI Clerk 2018.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern & Selection Procedure

Screening of candidates for the post of SBI Clerks 2018 for Junior Associates exam need to clear 3 selection phases, which are:

  1. Prelims Exam
  2. Mains Exam
  3. Test of Official and/or Local Language

SBI Prelims Exam – Phase I

State Bank of India preliminary examination will be an online based objective type test. A Sectional Timing implemented for Preliminary Examination. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects as well as for aggregate (overall) are prescribed. An adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies subjected to availability) will be shortlisted for the Mains Examination. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answers.
