Answers :

Direction (1-5) :

1) Answer: b)

Series I,

3*9 – 9 = 18

18*8 – 8 = 136

136*7 – 7 = 945

945*6 – 6 = 5664

5664*5 – 5 = 28315

Series II,

9 is the 1st term.

9*9 – 9 = 72

72*8 – 8 = 568

568*7 – 7 = 3969

3969 is the 4th term.

2) Answer: c)

Series I,

4.5*4=18

18*3.5= 63

63*3=189

189*2.5= 472.5

472.5*2 = 945

945*1.5 = 1417.5

Series II,

2 is the 1st term

2*4 = 8

8*3.5 = 28

28*3 = 84

84*2.5 = 210

210*2 = 420

420 is the 6th term

3) Answer: b)

Series I,

928/4 = 232

232/2 = 116

116/4 = 29

29/2 = 14.5

14.5/4 = 3.625

Series II,

224 is the 1st term

224/4 = 56

56/2 = 28

28/4 = 7

7 is the 4th term.

4) Answer: d)

Series I,

25*1 + 1 = 26

26*2 + 2 = 54

54*3 + 3 = 165

165*4 + 4 = 664

664*5 + 5 = 3325

Series II,

267 is the 1st term

267*1 + 1 = 268

268*2 + 2 = 538

538 is the third term.

5) Answer: b)

Series I:

12 + 7 = 19

19 + 14 = 33

33 + 21 = 54

54 + 28 = 82

82 + 35 = 117

Series II,

37 is the 1st term.

37 + 7 = 44

44 + 14 = 58

58 + 21 = 79

79 + 28 = 107

107 + 35 = 142

142 + 42 = 184

184 is the 7th term.

Direction (6-10) :

6) Answer: b)

Company A:

Total product = 1200

Mobile = (35/100)*1200 = 420

Laptops = (20/100)*1200 = 240

Company B:

Total product = (4/5)*1200 = 960

Laptops = (1/4)*960 = 240

Pen drives = (20/100)*960 = 192

Company A:

Pen drive = 192

Watch = 1200 – (420 + 240 + 192) = 348

Company B:

Watch = 608 – 348 = 260

Mobile = 960 – (240 + 192 + 260) = 268

Required percentage = 100*(108/688) =15 %

7) Answer: e)

From Statement I,

The number of defective watches in company A is equal to the number of laptops sells in company B.

So, Statement I alone is not sufficient to the answer the question.

From Statement II,

Non defective watch in B = 260*80/100 = 208

So, Statement II alone is not sufficient to the answer the question.

From Statement III,

Watch sold by company B = 260*20/100 = 52

So, Statement III alone is not sufficient to the answer the question.

8) Answer: c)

From quantity I,

Non defective laptops in A = 240 – 120 = 120

SP = 15000*120 = 1800000

Without profit SP = 1800000 – 120000 = 1680000

CP of one laptop = 1680000/120 = 14000

From quantity II,

Mobiles in B = 268*1200 = 321600

Pen drive in B = 192*800 = 153600

Difference = 168000

Quantity II > Quantity I

9) Answer: b)

From Statement I,

CP of mobile in A= 2100000/420 = 5000

So, Statement I alone is not sufficient to the answer the question.

From Statement II,

SP of per mobile in company A is 120% of the cost price of watch in company B.

So, Statement II alone is not sufficient to the answer the question.

From Statement III,

CP of Watch in B = 650000/260 = 2500

So, Statement III alone is not sufficient to the answer the question.

From I and III,

Required ratio = 2500 : 5000 = 1 : 2

10) Answer: a)

Required difference = 688 – 384 = 304
