Directions (1-5):

Explanation:

  • Umesh is Finger-spin bowler
  • Thakur plays for RCB.
  • Chahal is an Off-spinner and his team’s score is 160.
  • Markandeya plays for MI.
  • Ashwin’s team score is 150.
  • Only 54 wickets are taken by the bowler who plays under the team which its total score is 150. Hence Ashwin takes 54 wickets.

  • Bravo takes more number of wickets than Chahal and his team scores less than the team Chahal belongs. Hence Bravo team score is 140.
  • The persons belongs to the team which scores highest score and scores lowest score bowls in Swing and Pace respectively.
  • Hence Bravo’s bowling type is Pace.

  • The team RR’s total score is 180.
  • The total score of RCB is higher than the total score of MI. hence RCB team score is 190.
  • MI team score is 170.
  • The persons belongs to the team which scores highest score bowls in Swing, hence Chahal is a Swing bowler.
  • Thakur takes either 26 or 30 wicket.
  • The bowler takes 30 wickets, his team score is not 190 runs, hence Thakur takes 26 wickets.
  • From these above statements we conclude that Umesh Plays for RR and his team score is 180.

  • The player who is the Leg-spinner doesn’t take the lowest number of wickets. Hence Ashwin is a Leg-spiner.
  • Markandeya is the Googly bowler.
  • The number of wickets taken by the player belongs to KKR is equal to the sum of the wickets taken by the player belongs to CSK and the player belongs to MI.
  • So the possibilities are i)26+24=50, ii)26+28=54, iii)30+24=54.
  • But RCB bowler takes 28 wickets, hence possibility i and ii not suited.
  • So the score of CSK and MI is either 30 or 24.
  • KKR bowler takes highest wickets.

  • The player takes 24 wicket, is not an Off-spinner, hence Chahal not takes 24 wickets.
  • Bravo takes more number of wickets than Chahal and his team scores less than the team Chahal belongs. Hence Bravo team score is 140. wickets taken by Bravo>Chahal.
  • So Bravo also not takes 24 wickets.
  • The player belongs to DD has taken more number of wickets compared to the player belongs to RR. hence DD>RR.
  • The remaining wicket are 28, 30, 50.
  • So the final arrangement is.

Directions (6-10):

Explanation:

  • There are five floors between the two vacant floors.
  • The topmost floor is vacant, hence another vacant floor is 4.
  • Nithish lives an odd numbered floor and above floor number four.
  • The number of people living below Nithish is same as the number of people living between Nithish and Madonna.
  • Hence Nithish is not live in floor number 9 and 7.
  • Nithish lives floor number 5 and Madonna lives in floor number 9.
  • Only one floors between one who belongs to HCL and Nithish.
  • The one who belongs to HCL and Infosys not live in the floor numbered seven and eight respectively.
  • Hence one who belongs to HCL lives in floor number three.
  • Only one person lives between the one who belongs to Infosys and the vacant floor.
  • Hence one who belongs to Infosys lives in either floor number two or six.
  • Now we have 2 Cases.

  • Only two people live between Ravi and vacant floor.
  • Hence Ravi lives in floor number seven.
  • The one who belongs to Sony live immediately below the floor in which Ravi lives, hence case 1 is dropped.
  • The one who belongs to Infosys live immediately above the one who belongs to TCS.

  • There are two of floors between the one who belongs to Oracle and the one who belongs to Sony, hence Oracle in floor number nine.
  • Ravi lives above the one who belongs to L&T, hence Nithish belongs to L&T.

  • The one who belongs to TVS lives immediately above Kevin, hence Kevin lives in floor number six.
  • Then the one who belongs to CTS lives in floor number eight.
  • There are three floors between Kevin and Aruna, hence Aruna lives in floor number two.

  • Only one person lives between Rahul and the one who belongs to Sony but Rahul does not belong to CTS.
