Answers:

Direction (1-5)

  • The one who likes Hindi sits immediate right of Divya, who faces outside of the table.
  • There are two persons sit between Divya and Yashmin. Yashmin likes History and does not face outside of the table.
  • Divya likes Chemistry and sits second to the right of Ravi.
  • The person who likes Hindi sits second to the right of Yashmin.
  • Now we have 2 Cases.

  • There are three persons sit between Ravi and the one who likes Physics.
  • The one who likes Physics faces outside of the circle.
  • Pency sits third to the left of Ravi.
  • Pency likes Economics.
  • From above the condition Case 2 is dropped.

  • Immediate neighbours of Yashmin facing opposite direction.
  • Priya likes Biology and does not sit adjacent to Divya.
  • Immediate neighbours of Priya facing same direction.
  • Ravi does not like Maths, hence Ravi likes English.

  • Ziva sits immediate left of Gracia.
  • Hence Ziva likes Physics.
  • Gracia likes Maths and facing outside of the circle.
  • Hence Shakshi likes Hindi
  • Gracia and Shakshi faces same direction.
  • Then Shakshi also face outside of the circle.

1. Answer: b

2. Answer: c

3. Answer: b

4. Answer: a

5. Answer: d

Direction (6-10)

  • I, J, S, M, R, and P are sitting in row 1 facing south.
  • O, K, N, L, Q and U are sitting in row 2 facing north.
  • J and L are 28 years and 32 years old respectively.

NOTE: The persons sit left of J and L are younger to them and the person sits right of J and L are elder to them.

  • K is the youngest person and sits at the extreme end of the row.
  • Only two people are younger to L in his row.
  • Q sits second to the right of L who sits opposite to the one whose age is multiple of 11.
  • I is younger than J and two persons are sitting between I and the one whose age is 33.
  • K sits opposite to the one who is the second eldest person.

  • Two people sit between S and R who sits opposite to the one who is 58 years old. If R sits right of J then he should not sit opposite to the person whose age is 58 years old because of above notes. So R should sit opposite to Q.
  • M doesn’t sit opposite to K. So M should sit opposite to L and P sits opposite to K.
  • The age of S is square of an odd number. So S’s age is 49 years.
  • At least two people sit between N and U who doesn’t sit at the extreme end of the row.

  • Now we don’t know the five persons age i.e., 27, 24, 29, 35, 50.
  • R is younger than U but elder than I. From this statement R’s age is 27 years, I is 24 years and U is 29 years old.
  • N’s age is not a multiple of 7. N age should be greater than 32years. So N’s age is 50 years .and O age is 35 years.
