Answers:

Direction (1-5):

  • There are two persons sitting between the person who sits to the immediate right of Prem and the one who works in CTS.
  • The person who works in CTS is not the immediate neighbour of Bala.
  • Saima sits to the immediate left of the person who works in CTS.
  • Saima’s salary is the 4th lowest and she sits second to the right of the person who works in Oracle.
  • Prem sits at one of the corners of the table.
  • Now we have 2 cases..

  • There are two persons sitting between Tina and the one who works in Infosys.
  • Now case 1 derives 2 Cases.

  • Ravi’s salary is the second highest and he is not working in Infosys.
  • Ravi is not an immediate neighbour of Tina and sits second to the left of the person whose salary is Rs.55000.
  • From the above conditions, Case 1(b) was dropped.

  • The fourth highest salary is Rs.37000.
  • Saima’s salary is Rs.3000 more than the one whose salary is fourth highest.
  • Hence Saima’s salary is Rs.40000
  • From the condition case 2 was dropped.
  • Saima’s salary is Rs.5000 more than the one whose salary is the second lowest.
  • Therefore the second lowest salary is Rs.35000.
  • Lowest salary is Rs.33000
  • The remaining salaries are Rs.52000 and Rs.55000
  • Ravi’s salary is the second highest. So, Ravi’s salary should be Rs.52000
  • Then Uma works in Infosys.

  • The one who is working in TCS sits second to the left of the person whose salary is Rs.52000.
  • Uma’s salary is not the lowest.
  • Uma’s salary is less than the Bala’s salary.
  • Hence Uma’s salary is Rs.35000 and Bala’s salary is Rs.37000.
  • Tina’s salary is Rs.33000.
  • The person working in Sony does not have the highest salary. Hence, Saima works in Sony.
