Answers:

Direction (Q. 1-5)

  1. Answer (e)

Marks obtained by Animesh= 80*150/100= 120

Marks obtained by Piku= 96

Marks obtained by Pranab= 97.5

Marks obtained by Priyanka= 102

Total marks= 415.5

Required average= 415.5/4= 103.875

  1. Answer (c)

Total marks scored by Priti and Piku in Hindi

= > (85/100)*150 + (86/100)*150

= > 127.5 + 129 = 256.5

Total marks of Animesh and Pranab in History

= > (50/100)*120 + (45/100)*120

= > 60 + 54 = 114

Required % = [(256.5 – 114) / 114]*100 = 125 % more

  1. Answer (a)

Marks obtained by Pranab= 60*120/100= 72

Marks obtained by Priyanka= 80*120/100= 96

Total marks= 168

Marks obtained by Animesh= 45*120/100= 54

Marks obtained by Piku= 50.4

Total marks= 104.4

Required difference= 168-104.4= 63.6

  1. Answer (c)

Let the ratio between the maximum marks of Hindi and Science subject be x and y

85%of x = 55%of y

85x/100= 55y/100

85x= 55y

X / y = 11/17

Ratio between maximum marks of Hindi and Science is 11:17.

  1. Answer (a)

Let the maximum marks Hindi subject after decreasing be x

84% of x= 168

x= 168*100/84

x= 200

So, the original marks of Hindi subject= 200*100/80= 250

Direction (6-10):

  1. Answer (c)

Selling price item A= 200*120/100= Rs 240

Market price of item A

= 240*100/80

= Rs 300

  1. Answer (a)

Discount percentage allowed in item B

= 30*7/6= 35%

Selling price of item B

= 480*65/100

= 312

Cost price of item B= 312-120= Rs. 192

  1. Answer (b)

Selling price of item E

= 800*110/100

= Rs 880

Marked price of Item E= 880*100/80= Rs 1100

Required difference = 1100 – 480 = Rs. 620

  1. Answer (b)

Marked price of item B = Rs. 480

Profit % = 20 %, Discount % = 20 %

Selling price of Item B = 480*(80/100) = 384

Cost price of Item B*(120/100) = 384

Cost price of Item B = 384*100/120 = 320

Average cost price price of Item A, B, C and E

= > (200 + 300 + 800 + 320)/4

= >1620/4

= > 405

  1. Answer (e)

Profit earned by the shopkeeper= 300*40/100= 120

Selling price of item C= 300+120= Rs 420

Marked price of item C= 420*100/80= Rs 525
