Answers:

1.Answer: C

cot 45° + tan 60° = x

x = 1 + √3

2.Answer: B

500 – 100 – 169=500 – 269 = 231

3.Answer: C

Difference of Marks Misread and correct mark = 98 – 89 = 9

Average of the marks difference = 9/50 = 0.18

Total average marks = 80 + 0.18 = 80.18

4.Answer: D

A             B             C

150        200        75

A: B: C: = 6: 8: 3

5.Answer: B

If Cost price of Car = Rs. 100

Mohan bought this car after discount = Rs. 80

Selling price of the car= Rs.120

Profit/loss % = (S.P – C.P)* 100 = (40/80)*100 = 50%

6.Answer: B

S.I = PNR/100

S.I = (P*2*6)/100

Amt =  P(1 + r/100)2

 = P (1 + 6/100)2

= P (106/100)2

CI= P(53/50)2 –P

P(53/50)2 –P–(12P/100) = 126

Solve this equation, we get

P = 35,000

7.Answer: c

Let r be the radius of the circle.

Side of square = 2r

A= 49

Side = 7

2r = 7

r = 3.5

 Circumference of Circle = 2πr

                                                = 2 *22/7*3.5 = 22

8.Answer: C

The perpendicular bisectors of the sides of a triangle intersect at a point called the circumcenter of the triangle, which is equidistant from the vertices of the triangle.

9.Answer: b

Let x be the number and y be the quotient. Then,

x = 455× y + 42 = (13 x 35 × y) + (13 x 2) + 3

  = 13 x (35y + 2) + 3)

∴ required remainder = 3.

10.Answer: b

Distance = Speed × Time

Given:

Speed = 20 kmph , 30 kmph

Time = 1 hour

Distance = x

(x/20) – (x/30) = 1

10 x =600

X =60 Km
