Answers :

Directions (1-5):

Total number of boys = 200 * 3/5 = 120

Total number of girls = 200 * 2/5 = 80

Number of boys participated in singing = 20/100 * 120 = 24

Number of girls participated in Drama = 25/100 * 80 = 20

Number of boys participated in Drama = 2/1 * 20 = 40

Number of boys participated in Dance and speech = 120 – 24 – 40 = 56

Number of boys participated in Dance = 16 + (56 – 16)/2 = 36

Number of boys participated in Speech = 56 – 36 = 20

Number of girls participated in Dance = 54 – 36 = 18

Number of girls participated in Singing and Speech = 80 – 18 – 20 = 42

5x + 9x = 42

14x = 42

X = 3

Number of girls participated in singing = 3 * 5 = 15

Number of girls participated in speech = 3 * 9 = 27

1) Answer: C

Required total = 15 + 24 = 39

2) Answer: E

Required ratio = 20:27

3) Answer: D

Required percentage = 36/80 * 100 = 45%

4) Answer: B

Required ratio = (15 + 27):(24 + 20)

= 42:44

= 21:22

5) Answer: C

Required percentage = (36 + 18)/(40 + 20) * 100

= 90%

6) Answer: E

CP of the mobile = x

2 * (x – 15000) = (19200 – x)

2x – 30000 = 19200 – x

3x = 49200

X = 16400

7) Answer: C

Profit ratio of A, B and C = (4500 * 12): (5000 * 8): (4800 * 8)

= 135: 100: 96

C’s profit share = (96/331) * 16550

= Rs.4800

8) Answer: A

Speed of stream = 10/2 = 5 kmph

Speed of boat = 2/1 * 5 = 10 kmph

(D/10 + 5) + (D/(10 – 5)) = 48

D + 3D = 48 * 15

D = 180 km

9) Answer: D

2464 = 22/7 * r * r * 4

Radius of the cylinder = 14 cm

Radius of the cone = ½ * 14 = 7 cm

Height of the cone = √252 – 72

= 24 cm

Volume of the cone = 1/3 * 22/7 * 7 * 7 * 24

= 1232 cm3

10) Answer: C

135 = (6000 * R * R)/(100 * 100)

R = 15%
