The correct answer is option a

Option ‘a ‘conveys the same meaning as that of the given word & hence is the correct choice.

The correct answer is option d.

Uprooted – pull (something, especially a tree or plant) out of the ground.

As per the context of the passage the word ‘Uprooted’ fits in very well & hence is the correct choice.

 

3) Answer: B

The correct answer is option b.

Relying on – to need (someone or something) for support, help, to depend on (someone or something).

Option ‘b ‘conveys the same meaning as that of the given idiom & hence is the correct choice.

The correct answer is option a.

The error lies in part ‘b’ of the sentence. Replace ‘Elder’ with ‘Elderly’ to make the sentence grammatically correct.

Elder is used for someone who is superior to another or others.Elder is comparative to other people. Whereas ‘’Elderly” is used for aged people.

As per the context of the sentence, the word ‘Elderly’ best fits in & hence is used here to make the sentence grammatically correct.
