1). Bloated (Verb)

Definition: swollen with fluid or gas.

Synonyms: swollen, puffed up/out, blown up, distended, inflated, enlarged

Antonyms: shrunken, became small.

Usage: he had a bloated, unshaven face

 

2). Exemplified (Verb)

Definition: illustrate or clarify by giving an example.

Synonyms: illustrate, give an example of, give an instance of, demonstrate, instance

Antonyms: Conceal, Confuse, hide

Usage: he exemplified his point with an anecdote

 

3). Depreciated (Verb)

Definition: diminish in value over a period of time.

Synonyms: decrease in value, lose value, decline in price, drop in price, fall in price, cheapen, devalue

Antonyms: appreciate, raise.

Usage: the latest cars will depreciate heavily in the first year

 

4). Unpersuasive (Adjective)

Definition: not good, by mistake.

Synonyms: Poor, thin, faulty.

Antonyms: Strong, capable, efficient.

5). Puisne (Adjective)

Definition: small and weak.

Synonyms: undersized, underdeveloped, undernourished, underfed, stunted

Antonyms: strong, sturdy, significant, sizeable, substantial

Usage: white-faced, puny children

 

6). Sacrosanct (Adjective)

Definition: (especially of a principle, place, or routine) regarded as too important or valuable to be interfered with.

Synonyms: sacred, hallowed, respected, inviolable, inviolate, unimpeachable,

unchallengeable

Antonyms: strong, able, efficient, mobile.

Usage: the individual’s right to work has been upheld as sacrosanct

 

7). Evoke (Verb)

Definition: bring or recall (a feeling, memory, or image) to the conscious mind.

Synonyms:  bring to mind, call to mind, put one in mind of, call up, conjure up, summon up

Antonyms: Calm, Ignore, halt.

Usage: the sight evoked pleasant memories of his childhood

 

8). Abide (Verb)

Definition: accept or act in accordance with (a rule, decision, or recommendation).

Synonyms: comply with, obey, observe, follow, keep to, hold to, conform to, adhere to, stick to

Antonyms: flout, reject, fade, disappear.

Usage: I said I would abide by their decision

 

9). Reiterates (Verb)

Definition: say something again or a number of times, typically for emphasis or clarity.

Synonyms: repeat, say again, restate, retell, recapitulate, go over (and over), iterate, rehearse

Antonyms: Take back, return.

Usage: she reiterated that the government would remain steadfast in its support
