1). Misery (Noun) कष्ट,दुःख

Definition: a state or feeling of great physical or mental distress or discomfort.

Synonyms: unhappiness, distress, wretchedness, hardship, suffering, affliction, anguish, anxiety

Antonyms: contentment, pleasure

Usage: a man who had brought her nothing but misery

 

2). Ferocity (Noun) — क्रूरता

Definition: the state or quality of being ferocious.

Synonyms: savagery, brutality, brutishness, barbarity, fierceness, violence,  aggression

Antonyms: gentleness

Usage: the ferocity of the storm caught them by surprise

 

3). Mitigate (Verb) – कम करना

Definition: make (something bad) less severe, serious, or painful.

Synonyms: alleviate, reduce, diminish, lessen, weaken, lighten, attenuate, take the edge off, allay

Antonyms: aggravate, increase, intensify

Usage: drainage schemes have helped to mitigate this problem

 

4). Aerosols (Noun) — वायु या गैस में फैले कणों का एक कोलाइडियल निलंबन।

Definition: a colloidal suspension of particles dispersed in air or gas.

Usage: the organisms are spread in the aerosols generated by showers

 

5). Unilaterally (Adverb) – इकतरफ़ा

Definition: used to indicate that something is done by only one person, group, or country involved in a situation, without the agreement of others.

Synonyms: one part, one side.

Antonyms: multilateral, five-side

Usage: in 1996 the region unilaterally declared independence

 

6). Curtailed (Verb) – कटौती करना

Definition: reduce in extent or quantity; impose a restriction on.

Synonyms: reduce, cut, cut down, cut back, decrease, lessen, diminish, slim down

Antonyms: increase, improve.

Usage: civil liberties were further curtailed

 

7). Wrecked (Verb) – बर्बाद करना

Definition: spoil completely.

Synonyms: ruin, spoil, disrupt, undo, mar, play havoc with, make a mess of, put an end to

Antonyms: preserve, protect.

Usage: an eye injury wrecked his chances of a professional career

 

8). Tumultuous (Adjective) – शोर

Definition: making an uproar or loud, confused noise.

Synonyms: loud, deafening, thunderous, thundering, ear-shattering, ear-splitting, ear-piercing

Antonyms: peaceful, uneventful, orderly

Usage: tumultuous applause

 

9). Preparedness (Noun) – तत्परता

Definition: a state of readiness, especially for war.

Synonyms: ready, about to start.

Antonyms: delay, late.

Usage: the country maintained a high level of military preparedness

 

10). Buckle (Noun) – बकसुआ

Definition: a flat, typically rectangular frame with a hinged pin, used for joining the ends of a belt or strap

Synonyms: clasp, clip, catch, fastener, fastening, hasp

Antonyms: release, unfasten.

Usage: most rucksacks have quick release buckles
