1). Conjecture (Noun) – अनुमान

Definition: an opinion or conclusion formed on the basis of incomplete information.

Synonyms: guess, speculation, surmise, fancy, notion, belief, suspicion,

presumption, assumption

Antonyms: fact, know.

Usage: conjectures about the newcomer were many and varied

 

2). Rivals (Verb) – प्रतिद्वंद्वी होना

Definition: be or seem to be equal or comparable to.

Synonyms: compete with, vie with, match, be a match for, equal, emulate, measure up to, come up to, compare with

Antonyms: partner, ally.

Usage: the efficiency of the Bavarians rivals that of the Viennese

 

3). Unprecedented (Adjective) – अभूतपूर्व

Definition: never done or known before.

Synonyms:  unparalleled, unequalled, unmatched, unrivalled, without parallel, without equal

Antonyms: normal, common.

Usage: the government took the unprecedented step of releasing confidential correspondence

 

4). Fomenting (Verb) – भड़काना

Definition: instigate or stir up (an undesirable or violent sentiment or course of action).

Synonyms:  instigate, incite, provoke, agitate, excite, stir up, whip up, arouse, inspire, encourage, urge

Antonyms: deter, discourage, finish, ignore.

Usage: they accused him of fomenting political unrest

 

5). Ferocity (Noun) – क्रूरता

Definition: the state or quality of being ferocious.

Synonyms: savagery, brutality, brutishness, barbarity, fierceness, violence,  aggression, bloodthirstiness, murderousness

Antonyms: gentleness, calm, kind.

Usage: the ferocity of the storm caught them by surprise

 

6). Dislodge (Verb) – हटा देना

Definition: knock or force out of position.

Synonyms:  remove, move, shift, displace, knock out of place, knock out of position, knock over, upset

Antonyms: plan, sow, take in.

Usage: the hoofs of their horses dislodged loose stones

 

7). Refurbished (Verb) – अच्छी अवस्था में लाना

Definition: renovate and redecorate (something, especially a building).

Synonyms:  renovate, recondition, rehabilitate, revamp, make over, overhaul, restore, renew, develop, redevelop

Antonyms: damage, antique, break.

Usage: the premises have been completely refurbished in our corporate style

 

8). Behest (Noun) – आज्ञा

Definition: a person’s orders or command.

Synonyms: instruction, bidding, request, requirement, wish, desire

Antonyms: answer, reply.

Usage: they had assembled at his behest

 

9). Subsumes (Verb) – शामिल या अवशिषित करना

Definition: include or absorb (something) in something else.

Synonyms: classify, contain, incorporate, involve.

Antonyms: exclude, omit.

Usage: most of these phenomena can be subsumed under two broad categories

 

10). Plethora (Noun) – बहुतायत

Definition: a large or excessive amount of something.

Synonyms: excess, large, huge.

Antonyms: small, few amount.

Usage: a plethora of committees and subcommittees

 

11). Bidder (Noun) — बोली लगाने वाला

Definition: a person or organization making a formal offer for something, especially at an auction.

Synonyms: aspirant, candidate, challenger, player.

Antonyms: ally, friend, associate.

Usage: she was the highest bidder for this rare portrait
