1). Endorsement (Noun) समर्थन

Definition: the action of endorsing someone or something

Synonyms:  support, backing, approval, seal of approval, agreement, acceptance

Antonyms: denial, disapproval, opposition

Usage: the issue of full independence received overwhelming endorsement

 

2). Neutrality (Noun) – तटस्थता

Definition:  the state of not supporting or helping either side in a conflict, disagreement, etc.; impartiality

Synonyms: impartiality, lack of bias, lack of prejudice, objectivity, open-mindedness, disinterestedness, even-handedness, fairness

Antonyms: partiality, bias, participation

Usage: during the war, Switzerland maintained its neutrality

 

3). Discrimination (Noun) भेदभाव

Definition: the ability to judge what is of high quality; good judgement or taste

Synonyms: discernment, judgement, perception, perceptiveness, perspicacity, acumen, astuteness, shrewdness

Antonyms: impartiality, justice, equity, fairness

Usage: those who could afford to buy showed little taste or discrimination

 

4). Repeal (Verb) – निरसन करना

Definition: revoke or annul (a law or act of parliament)

Synonyms:  revoke, rescind, cancel, reverse, abrogate, annul, nullify, declare null and void, make void, void, invalidate,

Antonyms: introduce, enact, ratify

Usage: the legislation was repealed five months later

 

5). Ostensibly (Adverb) – स्पष्ट रूप से

Definition: as appears or is stated to be true, though not necessarily so; apparently

Synonyms: apparently, seemingly, on the face of it, to all appearances, on the surface, to all intents and purposes, outwardly

Antonyms: genuinely, really, truly

Usage: the party secretary resigned, ostensibly from ill health

 

6).  Rift (Noun) दरार या अनबन

Definition: a crack, split, or breaks in something

Synonyms: crack, fault, flaw, split, break, breach, fissure, fracture, cleft, crevice, gap, cranny, slit, chink, interstice, cavity, opening, space, hole, aperture

Antonyms: closure, solid, continuation

Usage: the wind had torn open a rift in the clouds

 

7). Denigration (Noun) बदनामी

Definition:  the action of unfairly criticizing someone or something

Synonyms:  defame, disparage, impugn, slander

Antonyms: approve, commend, compliment, flatter

Usage: I witnessed the denigration of anyone who failed to toe the line

 

8). Congruent (Adjective) – अनुरूप

Definition: in agreement or harmony

Synonyms: coinciding, concurring, compatible, conforming

Antonyms: disagreeable, incongruent, inharmonious

Usage: the rules may not be congruent with the requirements of the law

 

9). Divisive (Adjective) – विभाजक

Definition: tending to cause disagreement or hostility between people.

Synonyms: alienating, estranging, isolating, schismatic

 Antonyms: accord, agreement, concord, concurrence, harmony

Usage: the highly divisive issue of abortion

 

10). Emphasize (Verb) को महत्त्व देना

Definition:  give special importance or value to (something) in speaking or writing

Synonyms:   highlight, point up, spotlight, foreground, play up, make a point of

Antonyms: understate, play down

Usage: they emphasize the need for daily, one-to-one contact between parent and child
