1). Contentious (Adjective) — विवादास्पद

Definition: causing or likely to cause an argument; controversial.

Synonyms: controversial, disputable, debatable, disputed, contended

Antonyms: agreeable.

Usage: a contentious issue

 

2). Expropriation (Noun) — जब्त

Definition: the action by the state or an authority of taking property from its owner for public use or benefit.

Synonyms:  seize, take away, take over, take, appropriate, take possession of, requisition, commandeer

Antonyms: refuse, reject, disturb.

Usage: the decree provided for the expropriation of church land and buildings

 

3). Skewed (Verb) — अचानक दिशा या स्थिति बदलना

Definition: suddenly change direction or position.

Synonyms: alter, bend, curve, bias.

Antonyms: maintenance, straighten.

Usage: the car had skewed across the track

 

4). Denying (Verb) — इनकार करना

Definition: state that one refuses to admit the truth or existence of.

Synonyms:  contradict, repudiate, gainsay, declare untrue, dissent from, disagree with, challenge, contest

Antonyms: confirm, true.

Usage: both firms deny any responsibility for the tragedy

 

5). Hampered (Verb) – बाधा डालना

Definition: hinder or impede the movement or progress of.

Synonyms: hinder, obstruct, impede, inhibit, retard, baulk, thwart, foil, curb, delay,

set back, slow down

Antonyms: help, advice.

Usage: their work is hampered by lack of funds

 

6). Manoeuvres (Verb) – युद्धाभ्यास करना

Definition:  move skilfully or carefully.

Synonyms: steer, guide, drive, negotiate, navigate, pilot, direct, manipulate, move

Antonyms: random, non-controllable.

Usage: the lorry was unable to manoeuvre comfortably in the narrow street

 

7). Frontiers (Noun) — सीमांत

Definition: a line or border separating two countries.

Synonyms: border, boundary, partition, borderline, dividing line, bounding line, demarcation line

Antonyms: centre, inside, interior.

Usage: international crime knows no frontiers

 

8). Flagrant (Adjective) – चमकदार

Definition: (of an action considered wrong or immoral) conspicuously or obviously offensive.

Synonyms: blatant, glaring, obvious, overt, evident, conspicuous

Antonyms: unobtrusive, slight

Usage: a flagrant violation of the law

 

9). Litigation (Noun) — मुक़दमेबाज़ी

Definition: the process of taking legal action.

Synonyms: legal proceeding(s), legal action, lawsuit, legal dispute, legal case, case, legal contest, action, cause

Usage: the company wishes to avoid litigation

 

10). Unbridgeable (Adjective) — अंतर, असमानता

Definition: (of a gap or difference) not able to be bridged or made less significant.

Synonyms: difference, dissimilarity, contrast, distinction, distinctness, differentiation

Antonyms:  resemblance, likeness, sameness, similar nature, similitude,  comparability, correspondence

Usage: a seemingly unbridgeable cultural abyss
